Malcom McDowell from Internet Movie Data Base.
And he is so Lidermann and Lidermann is Claire's dad, people.

That psycho from Clockwork Orange?
AWESOME.
I dunno. He doesn't have a very good track record for being "evil". Creepy, yes.. evil.. um, no. He'd definetly be a welcome addition though, no matter who he ends up playing.

You will so be kickin' yourself next week when you find out that Nathan is Claire's bio-dad!

I disagree. I don't think he needs to be "evil", but I think he'd make an awesome villan. Think Aeon Flux, or Tank Girl..anyone...anyone? Almost forgot...anyone see Gangster No. 1? Now there's a villan.
He also packs some pretty good previous (cartoon) comic credentials. He's done voice work in Superman (Metallo), Justice League (Metallo/John Corben), Batman (Arkady Duvall), Spiderman (Whistler), Teen Titans (Mad Mod), The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (Baron Von Ghoulish), Captain Planet (Zarm), the Wing Commander video games (Geoffrey Tolwyn), Star Trek, Fist of the North Star, Tales from the Crypt...
Most of these roles are VILLIANS!

Malcom McDowell as Linderman (maybe)? I LOVE the idea.
Here is the complete quote:
'Heroes' cast welcomes another politico
Elsewhere in the land of comic-book protagonists, Malcolm McDowell has joined the cast of the NBC hit drama Heroes. In a recurring role, McDowell will play an ally of Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar). Petrelli is a politician who harbors a secret.
Lots of big names coming on board to add to the older generation, Takei, Eccleston, Gilsig, Roberts and now McDowell. Some of them are known to have abilities as well. McDowell will make a great Linderman. I wonder if Thompson will be working for him or not?
edit: 01.31.07 - Just added from Ausiello
Question: I think Anthony Stewart Head would make a fantastic Linderman on Heroes.— Nancy Wike
Ausiello: Don't tell that to Malcolm McDowell, 'cause I'm pretty sure he just landed the part.

Thanks for posting the text... I read it on my lunch break in the copy they had at Burger King, and couldn't quite remember word for word what it said.
I think another wierd clue in there is that he is eluded to as a protagonist. Which may mean he's either not Linderman, or that Linderman is on the side of good?

He'd be a great cast as the mastermind however.
Mighty and bitey!

With the word "recurring" thrown in there, I would doubt it though. Great find!

In the preview, they show someone's arm (and hand), and it looks a lot like Nathan's.
Could gargyloveswolfy be right?!
Check out the HEROES Comedy Art thread and lol away!

Agree that Linderman is not Claire's father unless it is a lab gestation, but don't agree on Nathan. There is a big, I mean BIG, percentage of people on these forums that think Nathan is her father but it's just not going to play out that way. Thompson is the most likely culprit and if he is the guy that tried to take down Ted in the latest novel, it would seem he has an ability too, perhaps super speed or flight.
Besides the recent "whose hand is that in the preview" issue, Nathan is a white and blue shirt kind of guy, especially since he is running for office. We have never seen him in anything but a white shirt, blue shirt, white shirt with stripes or blue shirt with stripes except for when he got away from HRG and had to put on a T-shirt. The guy who we are thinking is Claire's father in the preview has on a lilac shirt. That makes a statement that I dont think Nathan would make. Nathan comes across as a guy who wants to appear upright and on the straight and narrow, no ambiguity and a lilac shirt suggest a person is gay or very secure in their manhood and Nathan would not want to alienate anyone. While this guy looks like he is in the comfort of his own home, Nathan seems like he would always be ready to meet the press or public. When we have seen him relaxing at home it was in a blue shirt or a white shirt with pin stripes. Just based on that and the way the rings are worn, Nathan is not the guy. But Nathan is going to have dealings with this new character and we already know he is taking money from Linderman for his campaign, actually more than what Linderman's people wanted to give.
Like your Avatar. I have an original Ozma of Oz book that my mother had when she was a little girl. Does that date me or what?

The part in the beginning when they show the police first bringing Niki out of her cell. Sendhil says, "I love this guy's name, broken nose.."
