Hi, I'm the artist on the comic and a HUGE fan of the show. I hope you liked the webisode! I did the best I could in the limited time I had. I would have liked the likenesses to have been a little tighter, but them's the breaks when the clock ticks! QUOTE (oswald_the_rabbit @ Feb 13 2007, 09:56 PM) you took my topic Sylar has freeze, super memory, telekineses, super jump?, and melting for sure. He definitely has the first three, but from my understanding it's his telekinesis that allowed him to make the jump on page 5. As for the melting? If you mean the letterbox on page 6, well... I think that's Zane's doing. Any other questions, feel free to fire away. I will answer if I can. Jason Badower jason's artblog

Also does he have any more powers that are not shown.

Also does he have any more powers that are not shown. If you remember the early episode where Parkman discovers his powers at the crime scene, the people that were murdered were killed by Sylar; their power was to freeze. If you watch the episode you can see the frozen bodies and the police talking about how they were frozen solid.

QUOTE (What Up Hiro! @ Feb 13 2007, 07:49 AM) Maybe this is a dumb question but in the novel, after he runs away, he kills the trucker and then goes to the diner and kills Charlie. How can that be when that episode was aired months ago?

Heya, Thanks to everyone for all the kind words. I can't even begin to tell you how much they mean to me! I don't know a lot more than you guys about Sylar. I don't know where he got his freezing powers, heck, I didn't even know he could freeze the road like that til I read the script! Here's what it does say: It specifically says in the script that he is telekinetically moving himself away from the falling truck on page 5 and they made sure to mention that he is NOT FLYING. For those who were confused with the flashback on page 3, I apologise. I should have done the same crazy border that I used around the flashback on page 1. Maybe even the same colour scheme? I hope the fans can appreciate the details Annette and I put into the comic. Here's some easter eggs: Sylar's hat: Thanks to the Primatech website for the logo for Sylar's hat! PAGE 1: Pay close attention to the newspaper in panel 3. We were specifically asked to put those headlines in. PAGE 3: There's a screw-up by me on the diner menu: It reads "Burnt Toaster" not "Burnt Toast" oops! Panel 3 is my proudest panel. When I read the script I swore I remembered the scene. If you go back to episode 9 (I think) you will see that this panel is a mix of about 3 different scenes. I'm really proud of the composition and I love my likeness of Hiro. PAGE 6: His watch - that's the actual face of his watch from Episode 10 where he gets his name from (I couldn't find reference for the band). The flag on the letterbox on panel 3 is supposed to be melted. If you liked the story, please post here or on the NBC boards as I'd love to do more of them! Jason Badower jason's artblog

The flashback scene was fine. Maybe some people just skimmed it or read it a little fast. I noticed in your blog, you called the comic "Road Rage", did the title change from what you were told to the final version ("Road Kill")? Interesting tidbit about those newspapers. "President drew fire for welfare comments." | "O'Grady Farm to be purchased back from City". Maybe Nathan uses that statement somehow in his campaign. The truck driver's name was O'Grady. Coincidence? I see Sylar still has his broken watch...but the time is not seven minutes to midnight.

So Sylar does indeed have a freezing ability. That should end alot of discussion here. I still have questions about how he can survive with bullet holes in him without Claires power? He walks around like its just a scratch. And then there is a question of if he has a jumping ability or its just a good use of TK. Best graphic novel in a while. Maybe even best yet.

Jason Badower jason's artblogJason - First off, AWESOME JOB! It's great that you swung by to chat with us too. Thanks for sharing those extra tidbits on what to look for. After reading the Wizard Interviews with the writers/producers, I think we all appreciate how tight the turnaround is for each week for the eps, let alone the webcomics. My questions: How'd you end up as a comic artist, and spec. this Heroes gig? How was the weekly creative-edit-publication process like from your end? Thanks for sharing, and all the best! I definitely thought this week's art was very well done, and one of the more interesting story-wise too. Cheers, Lis
