Wow at Claire. I remember watching the preview for next weeks episode and if you look closely you can see someone getting roasted. I thought it was HRG. I'm guessing Ted tries to roast HRG, Claire pushes him out of the way or Ted kills Claire in revenge, stating that HRG is responsible for him killing his wife. Either scenario Matt has no choice but to kill Ted, because he's a threat and out of control? I wonder if the Haitian will mind wipe Matt while he's out? omg, I can't wait.

With the whole Matt thing, I am prettty sure that it is going to be part of the flashbacks of HRG's. Kind-of show us what they do with the heroes, while showing what happened to Matt. Solving two questions at once.

That's my guess too. They will probably show what happened after Matt blacked out and what HRG actually did to him. I'm guessing that the last scene would be Matt shooting someone "unexpected" as they previous spoilers say (most likely Ted?).

Claire won't die...but maybe HRG will believe Claire has died.
Poor Matt, always trying to do what's right, but making the wrong choices. Ever since Audrey ditched him at the Primatech raid he seems to get himself into trouble. He needs Audrey back as a sidekick...or a new sidekick.

Claire does not die, the pics give that way too
one of the stunt doubles is burnt to a crisp, the other one is halfway-healed-and the other one (claire herself) is all healed up with burned clothes and black from all the carbon and stuff
she can't get killed by bullets either

i have to agree. claire "dies" in the sense she burns up and it probably takes her body a little longer to recover from the extent of the damage. everyone thinks she is dead and moves on. she now gets to run around doing her trip-to-nyc thing as a walking dead woman (since everyone thinks she is dead). enables her to make her trip without HRG, her adoptive mom, her real mom or mr. muggles looking for her.
there were some comments made by the writers about someone being dead but still continuing on in the story line for a long time (into next season if i remember correctly). this would fit that bill as well. might be a long time before HRG finds out she is up and about again. also gets her out of having to attend school, etc. it's hard being a hero and studying for finals.

I have trouble believing Claire somehow is thought to be dead based on the pics and the fact that even though he's an *** HRG would die trying to get Claire out of the fire before he gave up on a chance she is still alive. The whole first story arc the "Save the Cheerleader" definately showed me that HRG will do anything to save Claire and even though there has been turmoil, I think, like any parent, you would throw yourself infront of a bullet before letting your child die and personally if it was a fire I wouldn't leave the house until everyone was safe or I'd die trying to save them, Unless, Matt manages to pull HRG out of the house somehow.
