How about the instrumental stuff that plays while Hiro is exercising on the roof? It continues into the next scene with Claire getting ready to go into the train wreck.

While we're talking about Bright Eyes, is it just me, or does Milo look like Conor Oberst in the promo pictures?

QUOTE (blurredlights @ Jul 30 2006, 04:37 AM) er... i can only search for music with lyrics, unfortunately. it's harder to find the titles for instrumental music. i'm sorry. maybe one of the crew/scribblers can answer that though i think there's a different instrumental music for each scene. there's a sense of urgency in the background music of Hiro looking up to the sky, and a more of a sweeping or grand feeling in the music of Claire contemplating the train wreck. Thanks anyway. I've listened again, and I still think it's the same piece. I agree about the change in feeling from one scene to the other, but it really seemed to me that the first part of the piece is still sort of audible when Claire's scene plays. I don't know what that's called...visually it's a motif, but in music? It makes me want to hear more. Anyway.

Two words: Wendy and Lisa. Some of the score in the pilot was borrowed, but the majority of the score when you see it on screen and in the subsequent episodes willbe Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman. You may remember them from Prince and the Revolution if you are a child of the 80s - or for their critically acclaimed credit sequences for Carnivale (and I think "Rome" as well). They pretty muck rock as musicians and as people. You'll get it once you start litening to the sound of the show.

If I remember correctly the piece that plays while Hiro is exercising is from Peter Gabriel's soundtrack for "The Last Temptation of Christ" released commercially as an album called "Passion."
Is it just me or is the opening music borrowed from "Batman Begins"?

Is it just me or is the opening music borrowed from "Batman Begins"? It's not just you, that's indeed Batman Begins. Anyone know if the score for Peter's second flying dream - when he's in the taxi - is from a soundtrack, too? It seemed familiar as well. And that's good news about Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman doing the score. Dare I hope that this also means Heroes will get a credit sequence?

OK, I have a song that you guys can track down... at about the half-hour point there is a song and the only lyrics i can remember are "in your eyes". Peter is in the cab, and then it's an overview of where everyone is at. It ends with Ali getting jumped by the thugs in her house. It's a beautiful song and i cant get it out of my head. It would be nice to have a name to go with it.

QUOTE Missed the last train home birds pass by to tell me that i'm not alone well i'm pushing myself to finish this part i can handle a lot but one thing i'm missing is in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes
have you seen this film it reminds me of walking down the avenues well i'm washing my hands of attachments, yeah i will land on the ground but one thing I'm missing is in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes Found similar lyrics here first. It looks like it's "Eyes" from Rogue Wave and was original music for the movie "Just Friends". And you might be able to listen to Eyes with this standalone myspace mp3 player (and if you can't remember the link to the song [and why would you?] and ya wanna listen to it, then just remember http://snurl.com/RWEyes).

I just knew you would all come through for me. I appreciate it. I just know I will have to ask for more help to find more songs when the show finally starts. I do have another one for you if you want however. I need the first song in the end credits for "two for the money". If you come up with this one I will continue to be impressed.
