So, since the info on the interweb is so dynamic and fluid - I like gettin' screenshots or cachin' what's available, just to track the changes (my own version of archive.org for stuff that interests me), at least for some stuff (for instance, I happen to have a screenshot of starwars.com when it first went online, when it just had the Star Wars logo as a placeholder...). Well, it's not really that big o' a deal, but there's a new option to vote for with this Create Your Hero goofiness... You can now vote to have Santiago possess the ability that was already chosen for Audrey, or vice versa ( screenshot with rfl) - just fyi - if ya wanted to change things up again. So, why did we vote on stuff at the beginning of the year, since it seems like some of it doesn't matter anymore?

Just give Santiago super speed and Im happy. A good guy, straight up easy to understand power, ya cant loose.

QUOTE (HERΟ @ Jul 18 2008, 02:28 PM) Daphne... That's what I was gettin' at in an earlier post, iirc... I already tripped over that spoiler about month ago at the Wiki (don't tell me anything else, please). Thinking about it, That coulda had something to do with this new mess. Now, I'm talking about CYH Audrey + super speed, not Daphne.

So, I now figure that tptb have narrowed down the actor/actress to play the role of either Santiago or Audrey, yet they don't know exactly what said character should be able to do (although it had already been voted on previously). Guess whatever we decide now is still required to pin down any plots... Anyway, you can now (for comparison ... ) not only vote for either Santiago or Audrey, but you can also choose whether one of those characters has an ability other than what was already determined, and it doesn't hafta be the ability already chosen for the other character. So the ability could be something yet to be decided by tptb or maybe voted on (again) by us?!? Again, here's the screenshot, with requisite flickr link. Maybe this is the final "relaunch" before the relaunch at Comic-Con? For the record, I still choose Santiago as previously described over 5 months ago, with the superior physical speed.

QUOTE (themightytruk @ Jul 24 2008, 07:52 PM) Wow, another change already! Accelerated probability sounds potentially cool, though. Yeah, like in the example shared, bein' able to determine the best route when goin' fast is probably helpful. Sorta like mappin' a route before making the jump to hyperspace in Star Wars, it helps to know that, when bein' a little speedy, ya don't crash! Still rootin' for Santiago - funny that the results are shown to 4 decimal places of a percent...

Ya know, with all the contrivating and convoluting and mangling that this "Create Your Hero" thing is getting and as drawn out and proctastinated as it is getting, I'm not sure I like it anymore. Somebody send me a PM when the dust settles and the thing is in its final shape, will ya? PS: For what they're worth, here are my opinions of the posible outcomes: Santiago + super speed = great Santiago + super speed + that probablility thing = ok, could be good. anybody + that affects speed of people thing = WTF?! That couldn't fly at all! Audrey + what Santiago's got = maybe

QUOTE (GreayMoomba @ Aug 4 2008, 11:53 AM) Huh? What's wrong with time manipulation? well if they work it that way, that's better, but then Hiro becomes less because someone can do what he does (besides peter mimicing it). Of course, then we would have 2 or 3 folks that could only do half of what Hiro can do. (the Company sez this guy can teleport & Mark sable says he can ONLY teleport, this gal can teleport according to the map).

So, accordin' to the rules, which was partly quoted here , the voting for "Phase 2" continues until November 29th. To me, that's enough time to maybe have one or two lead changes in the voting results (or, not...). And, for those rootin' for the speed- and accelerated probability-enhanced Santiago, that wouldn't be fun to see the lead go away. I'm guessin' that having the voting go for 4 more months after the initial voting that ended in February helps to get this online series started next year, huh? Anyway, one of truk's posts, when the voting relaunched, showed that Santiago was ahead at 70.55% - I still think it's goofy that they're measuring the results in terms of 1 millionth (or, one ten-thousandth of one percent)... And Santiago's now sittin' at just over 66% (or 66.0965% after I just voted again...). Well, do ya think the lead'll change once those in the U.S. are through with Thanksgiving leftovers? (Hope not...) Also, do ya think that this Sprint Ahead-sponsored eventual online live action webseries is one of the deals to which Tim Kring referred when he pretty much said that sponsors are messin' with the HEROES stories (I kinda concluded that this was a sponsor-driven deal here and there , 'cuz it seems Sprint wants a speed-related Hero to tie-in to their ads)?

So, I noticed previously that, although the rules had stated that voting was gonna go on until after Thanksgiving (the 29th of November), there was an swf Sprint ad that said that voting (at least by phone) would end on the 29th of September. Well, the ad must've been correct, because the voting is now closed ( screencap with rfl). It seems that the winner will be Santiago, since he had (I think) about 65% of the votes to Audrey's 35%, unless the tallyin' of the votes somehow yields different results. And, the cool part? The Santiago webisodes will start 10 November 2008. Or, just over a month for some more webisode goodness! That'll be cool to see how tptb show his accelerated probability and super speed. Huh. It should have stated that the final voting has closed... Oh well.
