I had written the info in this thread in the general discussion forum, but here is a rehash:
Despite the current instructions about "Max Mode" (screenshot and flickr link), when you are in "Read Mode", the whole second page is clickable (for the first four publicly-available online comics, and tptb are starting to mix it up a little), and will lead you to the "secret" content.

News about the graphic novels! (from 23 Apr '07)
The latest BTE has the scoop, although the NBC.com Offers Fresh Content All Summer Long press release also hinted at its duration, but to elaborate, the graphic novels will continue through the summer and the scribblers are saying they will hopefully continue throughout the whole series!

The fans really seem to be digging the graphic novels and we were very happy to announce that it will be running over the summer hiatus, and if we have any say, over the course of the series. It has certainly been a chore to maintain, but a labor of love. To that end, we're attempting to bring on some of your favorite comic book writers and add their tremendous talent to the Heroes Universe. We should have an announcement on that shortly.

And what about hard copies of the comics, you ask?!?

Clear some space on your shelf. Things are looking very good. We're trying to work out the details now and are hoping to make an announcement by ComiCon.

Update! This is the NBCUMV press release about DC comics publishing the hard copies of 43 of the graphic novels.

Still looking for the hidden link in comic 5. I was going to give up, but then I saw that NBC put this quote at the top of the graphic novel page:
"Think you've read them all? Maybe, but have you found all the hidden surprises?"
So I'm convinced that there is something (other than the Versa ad, which is also linked in previous comics) in number 5! Maybe it's not a link... maybe it has to do with a way you view the pages... Did anyone else notice the difference in design in this week's comic? The all black first page... and then 2 pages with no borders... I'm also considering whether the "Lights Out!" quote could be some kind of clue... (that's just stretching from the fact that that NBC Heroes interactive homepage has several clickables in it that makes the screen darken or go black - on that note, anyone find any other good interactives/clickables on the NBC site?).
Anyway - I'm just throwing some ideas out there, because this is really driving me crazy! HELP.. (I'm supposed to be writing a paper on Strict Liability right now, and I can't concentrate!)

Anyone else found the image compiled into heroes_CBOOK2.swf called "image 3" (possibly auto named by sothink I have never used it before)

it has 2 copies of the 4th page of Monsters (the one with Suresh receiving his dads wallet) one as a left page and one as right

the only difference I can see is a red magnifying glass over Suresh's left hand with the handle pointing towards his dad in the general direction that his left pointing finger is pointing
