Based on the information here (or see quote), we can at least know (but haven't seen actual pics) that there are 4 covers made for the comic book. There's a few of the Claire/Comic-con cover on eBay, and there was one from Wizard World with Niki there, but when will the NBC contest or giveaway one be announced? Will it be given within the next month? And what will it and the main cover look like? Were more Claire covers printed than the Niki ones, since I've only seen one of the Niki covers? Are there other outlets to look for the Heroes swag?

QUOTE
?There will be three other Tim Sale variant covers,? Loeb added. ?One for Chicago WizardWorld, one that is an NBC giveaway and one that is the main cover. These collectibles are free, but with very limited print runs. The entire run is something like 7500 copies for all four copies. By Chicago will be the hot book!?

Did Loeb actually say "But Chicago will be the hot book!" instead of what was printed?

I believe the four covers are Niki (Chicago), Claire (San Diego), Nathan (NBC exclusive), and Hiro (NBC exclusive). Not sure what the plans are yet for distribution.

Oh, for the love of... mad.gif

I finally got a line on the Niki cover and now I find out there's two more? And to make matters worse, we don't know how to get the final two yet?!

Oh well, half the fun of collecting is the hunt, right? wink.gif

I'll put on my ninja outfit and get with it! ph34r.gif

Thanks for the heads up!

I wondered the same thing. Typos like that drive me nuts!

They printed this: "By Chicago will be the hot book!"

So is it supposed to be "But Chicago will be the hot book!" ?

Or "By Chicago this will be the hot book!" ?

Or was it completely butchered and supposed to read "By Chicago the book will be hot!? ?

A little proof reading goes a long way...

Finally found the cover illustrations at the Tim Sale forum (pretty much the same information you shared, but with pics).
And Tim said one was for NBC employees only!?! blink.gif

I think the Heroes Powers That Be would like to do some contests on this site eventually. I should e-mail them. Would be a good way to reward some of the site's early posters, too!

Actually we should get them to print a 9thWonders.com variant... haha... with a total Silver Age look... anyone out there listening?

I'm listening, not that it matters...

Good idea, though!

Who do you know that has a Chicago variant?

Whose ear do you need to pull that off? Sounds good to me! smile.gif

One that looks like the Micah Sanders prop would be cool, too. Does anyone have a screenshot of that comic book?

I don't know anyone yet, and I probably didn't do this in the most ethical way, but I went to eBay and asked anyone that was posting multiple items from the Chicago convention to see if they had one. I've got a guy that thinks he does, but won't be back home until Saturday to confirm it. He said it was difficult to get, so I'm betting it's the one!

So below is a pic of the Hiro NBC giveaway variant "in the wild" (I think from a guy named biggers). Do you know what we will have to do to get one of these from NBC?!?

Really?!? You had to be fortunate enough to be at a Universal Studios advanced screening? Wild. It's just like what you can read about in this thread where people who are fans of Tim Sale's work got prop artwork from "HEROES" way back in May, for FREE! So a person had to be in the right place at the right time; otherwise other people don't get the opportunity unless it's being auctioned? Bummer.
