QUOTE I honestly think that Claude being her father, thinking she was dead all these years only to discover that HRG had kidnapped her and raised her as his own would have had a much bigger impact and been a far more complex and interesting story I agree with that as well. My sister was all like "OMG Claude is the dad!" and it would have given a more in depth look at the character. However, I still love the idea of Uncle Peter! I wonder how everyone else will end up connected to each other. As for the Paire shippings...unfortunatley some people will not be disuaded because of the blood relations...which i find...creepy..anyway, yeah can't wait to see where this goes!

QUOTE (LizJ @ Feb 6 2007, 04:00 PM) I agree. Nathan had enough on his plate. There's already been dropped plot lines with him that should have been explored (the accident that crippled his wife, for example).
But perhaps Chris only had a commitment for a few episodes... That has been answered. Linderman tried to kill him and he accidentally flew out of his car while it was under attack. it was in episode 10, I believe. I knew it was Nathan as well, i wasn't even looking at the watch or the ring. I was thinking in terms of good plot twists and storytelling. I was thinking, "Man in a suit... not HRG... not Ted... Definitely not Matt... Peter? No way... NATHAN!" I knew it had to be a character we already knew as well, to make it a great plot twist. Did it happen when Nathan was in his early twenties, then? Nathan appears to be in his 30s and Peter is in his late 20s I believe.

Yes Linderman tried to have him killed becuase he was going to take linderman and their dad to court on Racketeering charges. He flew out of the car as it got hit and his wife wasnt so lucky. He really didnt know what happened. Till later.

Ok not sure if you guys have already discussed this but did HRG know that Nathan was her father, b/c he said they died in some accident. So when he kidnapped him he knew he had his daughters real dad?

So when he kidnapped him he knew he had his daughters real dad? Well the Haitian said he didn't know anything about Claire's father so what are the chances of HRG knowing?

Number of downloads: 3 Augghhh! Why Nathan?! Don't get me wrong, Nathan is cool in all but.. that doesn't get me upset. Peter is Claire's uncle; that's one huge inconsistonsie in my fan fiction...! *sigh* Mendokusai. (What a pain.)

OK I am really going to tick people off with this, but it is possible that it is NOT Nathan. we don't know for sure that the person Nathan was on the phone with was Claire's mom, just like we don't know for sure Isaac was on the phone with HRG telling him about Peter. Claire's mom COULD have called HRG not Nathan and Isaac could ahve called Nathan. It is a trip of video editing to make one believe something and then make a spectacular reveal later. As someone who has studied video making and editing I woulld be surprised to find out they did this as straight forward as it seems.

Except that the phone call between HRG and Isaac are consistent. Hence the Isaac: "I found him. I think I found a way to stop him." HRG: "Sylar?" Isaac: "I thought you had Sylar?" And besides that, Claire's mom said at the end of the phone call last week: "We have to talk, Nathan." So something tells me that it wasn't a "Trick". Plus, I read a interview where Kring says it was planned all along... Did anyone else see that? And can you give me the link?

QUOTE (thefatindian @ Feb 6 2007, 05:43 PM) Nathan will be a horrible father for Claire unless he changes. Like HRG Bennet is such an amazing, stellar father?

I was in total shock when I saw this happen and it was amazing to see Nathan sit down in his chair with a stunned look on his face..
