Even though this is one version of reality that could happen only if the bomb goes off and Sylar isn't killed, so we have to keep in mind that what we saw of some of the HEROES may not even apply, depending on what TPTB have the characters do in "the present", what do you think were some of the noteworthy moments of "Five Years Gone"?
In no particular order, here are some moments I thought were noteworthy:
In general I liked the attitude change of both Hiro and Peter of the Future as they became tougher versions of their present selves.
Seeing Peter come in to save Hiro of the Future and Ando so effortlessly was cool.
I liked when Peter moved a chair with no more than a dismissing wave of his hand as he walked to Future Hiro to tell him they were gonna get things done.
It was chilling to hear that, as leader of the free world, "Nathan" (Gabriel) was probably the most special person!
I couldn't believe Matt would get rid of Mr. Bennet, especially after hearing about the arrangement.
I also couldn't believe that The Haitian would be working with Matt Parkman, since I thought he'd still be on HRG's side of things.
Another fun scene was when Future Hiro and Future Peter worked their way to Present Hiro with their various talents.
Last, seeing Sylar using Candice's, D.L.'s, and Nathan's powers was a good way to show what he's been up to; thought that was well-written!
What moments did you like/think were noteworthy from this ep?

"Go talk to yourself." "No way. I scare me." more subtle -- calling the Mutant Registration Act the "Linderman Act" implies that Linderman died in the NYC blast (because such acts are often named after the victim, eg the Brady Act)

I'm sure this moment's been mentioned since the previews, but when Fpeter is walking down the hall and, in a spin move, he "allows" a guard on his left to continue on toward a wall on his right - all while not missing a beat in his forward progress - that's pretty classic! It was so well-choreographed, in the show, I wonder if Fpeter had read the guard's mind? Only a determined person with a definite goal could do that, which was definitely a milestone to which Ppeter's character was only starting to reach. Do you know if anyone has made an animated gif of that scene? I remember roxygr1223 had part of it, but if someone made a gif from when Fpeter's walking, helping the guard pass on by, to continuing forward, that would be fun to see again!

Candice in hiding (before she was killed by Sylar).
Has anyone wondered why Candice needed to go into hiding--and I am not referring to the obvious fact that she could hide just fine by herself. I mean she seemed closely aligned with Linderman in previous episodes. Seeking help from Bennet and Hiro seems like the last place she would end up.

I feel that "Nathan's" speach about being the President and how he's probably the most special person there is was a noteworthy moment. It made me see that Nathan wasn't acting like himself, and wouldn't you know it was Slyer... I really like how that scene was done. Great acting on Adrian Pasdar's part!

QUOTE (isitmondayyet? @ May 2 2007, 05:18 PM) "Go talk to yourself." "No way. He was with Linderman. My favorite moment? "Should we freeze time?" "Nah, I haven't had a good fight in years."

I'm like a super hero. Just with no powers or motivation. Guess who's back? Mighty's back. Tell some friends.

QUOTE (Trayton @ May 5 2007, 02:29 PM) Yes, it is pretty funny when Hiro and Pete run off in opposite directions while Ando throws his hands up and hes like "wtf am i supposed to do!" ... but he still survived without fighting. ;-) It was also funny when Matt tried to hear Hiro's thoughts and all he got was "I just want to be a hero." Hiro seemed to be proud of his "prison breaks"...

QUOTE (Ingtar @ May 2 2007, 08:11 PM) The revelation that grandma Petrelli might not be so wholesome. The Haitian.C works for her. She is of the right age to have been in Linderman's group. Though she uses the Haitian (poor fellow still has no name after five more years) to protect her own blood, we don't know her attitude on the rest of the mutants. Then to see the Haitian helping hunt them down leaves me with the belief that she holds views similar to Linderman. I don't think so. I believe that the Haitian is faithful to Nathan's mother, so he became faithful to Nathan when he became president and believes what he's doing is for a greater good. So the Haitian is on the good side, he just dosen't know that the good side is Sylars side.
