I am in NJ and just heard about the comic is there any way to get a copy to read without having to shell out the high prices people are already charging on ebay? I am not asking for a free one. I am willing to pay I just don't want to be raped. If there is any way let me know what I would have to do to get one. If not I understand. Either way I can't wait for the show to start. You should have someone go on the Howard Stern show and promote the series. I think he would really be into it.

I am willing to be told what happens. smile.gif I would like to know...

For the producers, any chance that it could be included in a season 1 DVD set as a special feature, or be posted here a year or two down the road? I am patient...

Hey all:

A Wizard World Variable will be available at the Chicago Convention in August, if any of you are planning on going.

Including it on the DVD is a great idea, but I know how impatient I can be (and I assume most people are the same, so...)

We will try to put Tim Sale's beautiful art here on 9th Wonders at some point in the near future.

Keep your eyes peeled.

I read the exclusive at COMIC-CON and was actually disappointed. The Hiro "storyboards" are part of the pilot. And, the Claire backstory was only mildy interesting. The interview with Kring was all right. BUT, I really wanted more story. Sorry I can't be more enthusiastic...

Since I live somewhere near the Chicago-land area, I would like to know a bit more. May I ask when (what day) you plan on handing out the special comic books and what section of the convention center? Are there any plans to have a Heroes pilot screening or a booth set up? How involved is Heroes going to be at the convention? Feel free to post the answers in announcements, or whatever forum section you feel is most appropriate. That is, IF you decide to respond. biggrin.gif

http://www.wizarduniverse.com/conventions/ - General information on the convention, including that there are wizard world conventions in Texas (Nov. 10-12, 2006), L.A. (March 16-18, 2007), and Philadelphia (June 15-17, 2007).

Wizard World Chicago
August 3rd-6th
Donald E. Stephens Convention Center
Rosemont, IL

For tickets, visit here

http://wizarduniverse.stores.yahoo.net/wizworchic20.html

For tickets (adult) to attend all 3 days (Plus Thursday night) it is $50.00. To buy a ticket to attend 1 day is $25.00. Children 10 and under are free if at least one adult ticket is bought. For each day, there is a separate ticket, so if you meant to buy a Sat. ticket but accidentally bought a Sun. ticket, then it will be a hassle.

For information on the building the convention is located, visit directly below

http://rosemont.com/meeting/meet_desc.shtml

Hey. Apologies for the delay. Been out of town.

A couple of things:

1. Unfortunately, there will not be a screening of the pilot at Wizard World Chicago. However, our own JEPH LOEB will be there. If you see him around, tell him you're "talking about Heroes!" He'll give you a big smile.

2. We're working on getting the comic posted here. More details soon.

3. Obviously we've done our jobs well, because the comic contains some pretty amazing spoilers... it's in there. Trust me.

More to come

My guess is that it's a little early to know what will be on the DVD, since the show hasn't aired yet wink.gif But since we're all about speculation here I'd "speculate" that that'd be a pretty cool feature to include. You know with a show like this there'll be pleanty of "features". Hmm, perhaps I'll start a thread with stuff we'd like to see on the DVD if/when that time comes.

In San Diego, I was told I had to "win" a comic, I never won.. sad.gif

I didn't make it to Chicago. Can anyone help me out? I prefer the Chicago cover, but either would be great!

THANKS!

I think I remembered the name correctly, but who is Richard Starkings? And Isaac Mendez is the editor? biggrin.gif

Oh, nevermind about Starkings, seems to be a real person as opposed to the editor. laugh.gif

Any further developments on this front? After a month of waiting I tend to whine like a baby. tongue.gif The clan of my origin tends not to be genetically predisposed to patience. unsure.gif

Who actually/truly/real-life wrote the comic? Was it a collection of talents? Was it Mr. Loeb? Mr. Coleite? Michael Green?

Hard-Headed? Check.
Lead-Footed? Check.
Pack-Rats? Check.
Both sides for all of the above? Lead-Footed is a bit of a debate... but ultimately - Check.

Oh, I also noticed how "Medina" was on the comic book as the artist's name/publication name. But that was still one of those name change things like Deveaux/Devere/Deveaux...
