Um...about the guy in glasses at the end.

Am I the only one to notice that it looks like he has a dark blonde moustache? His upper lip is a very diferent color than the rest of his face.

If that's a moustache, than that's probably not Bob.

And if he DOES have a moustache, it still could be Bob. In the Heroes Unmasked dealie Stephen Tobolowsky (the actor who plays Bob) does have a moustache.

EDIT: But as brucealmighty made it quite clear in the post above mine...possible-Bob does not have a moustache. And I agree, he looks much too old to be Bob. I think if possible-Bob was really Bob, it would have been made much more clear.

I was under the impression that Daphne asked Samir to help her steal the painting simply because she wanted it...

In the previous page, I think she says something like just stealing things isn't enough. Then she looks at the Mona Lisa and says "I want that." Was there a mention of another person involved that I missed?

She said something along the lines of, "To just steal that wouldn't do it justice."
The painting apparently was for her...interesting...
I wonder what the Company did to Samir. Unreliable agents usually become unliving fairly quickly...

I feel like I'm attacking you, but I'm honestly not I just got really interested in this issue, and your arguments are good.

Don't worry about it. And don't take it personally if I get a little confrontational sometimes- it's a style I've been fighting, but confrontation is still my default. LOL

Yes, but it only looks like it in the third panel. In the closeup, the mustache isn't there anymore.

I think it was a poor attempt at giving him the "5 o'clock shadow" look...

You guys realize how tempting it's going to be to gloat next week, when it turns out that Bald Dude really is Bob? I won't do it, but it's tempting. (And...on the extreme off-chance that I'm wrong, I'll eat crow...)
Again, the fact that fans on only one of the Heroes boards are actually discussing the possibility that it's not Bob tells me quite a bit...

Well, the bubble covers up most of where his hair should be. And if you zoom in, on the top right side are some lines that resemble hair.. kind of.

I can't help but go back to thinking about the glasses thing. I mean, it's the most OBVIOUS thing to draw correctly to point out if it is Bob or not, so the only reason they would draw it differently is if he actually had different glasses.

Oh and P.S.
I don't know how often Bob's heroes wiki page is updated, but maybe they'll point out his appearance before next week.

Same thing here. An artist just took a bit too much license with the character. It's Bob.

How accurate is the Heroes Wiki anyways? Because in the summary thing of this issue, it says :

"A few days later, Daphne returns to Samir's place to find that he is gone. A bald man in glasses meets her there and says that Samir was always working for his group. In exchange for keeping her name from being mentioned, he offers Daphne a job in Japan and hands her a folder containing a picture of Kaito Nakamura. "
Ergo, it's not Bob. If it was, wouldn't they just say Bob Bishop?

Heroeswiki, as all Wiki's, is User Edited. It's as accurate as the fans who edit it- and there's no "confirmation" that Bald Dude is Bob. (I don't see how it could be more obvious unless they actually called him Bob, but that's obviously not something everybody sees...)

Hi everyone,

First off, I wanted to thank everyone for all the kind and positive things you've said about this issue (and the Root and Branch series I worked on as well). I'm so glad to hear people are enjoying them.

Bruce asked me to hop on here and respond to a few of the questions that cropped up. So here are a few quick answers:

The big debate seems to be over who is waiting outside Daphne's apartment... Well, if you didn't recognize this person it's because you weren't supposed to (sorry, but it's definitely not Bob)! I don't know how much I can say-- but it is someone you will see again (but not for awhile), so keep your eyes peeled. Micah was given a photo reference to draw from and I think he did a great job rendering that person. The last thing I'll say about him is that he's NOT affiliated with Primatech... hmmm...

Bruce asked for clarification of the Moroccan's power. It's phasing (like DL's).
Someone was wondering how all those Dumont's were replicated with clothes; the answer is-- they weren't brand new clones. They were all either already stationed in Europe or sent with Jules and Sabine for the mission.
Some time elapses before they capture Samir, but with limited space to tell the story you don't necessarily see that, but they all do have to get down into the sewers from where they were waiting.
Some people have mentioned the bad intel that Jules and Sabine had, perhaps you just witnessed a little bit of what leads to the internal fracturing of the Company; tension from flubs like this could certainly be exploited by Evs down the line.
