Full Version: Winks to the Audience
9th Wonders Boards > Episode Discussions > Season One > #3: "One Giant Leap"
Master Xander
I loved all the little winks and nods to the audience in this episode. Like they're paying attention to the boards and their fans. smile.gif

Just a partial list:

*Mohinder calling HRG, well, "Horn-Rimmed Glasses guy."

*Ando telling Hiro, "If you mention cape and tights, I'm out of here!"

*Peter and Simone talking about how everyone's connected, somehow. (Actually, that little bit was mentioned a lot that episode.)

*Mohinder talking about his father: "It's always 'why.' There are never any answers, only questions." (Or something to that effect... How his father would answer with another question, or something like that. Essentially, describing what a serial show like Heroes and Lost is like, hehe.)

Anything else I missed?

Well, actually, they filmed 1.3 during the summer, so the feedback's not that immediate. I'd start watching for in-jokes at about episode nine or so, since that's how far they were when the second episode aired.

(Or Hiro's reading the boards now and reporting back to the writers what we're talking about--there's always that.)
