Full Version: Will Papa Suresh show up alive?

I was reading another thread and it made me think of something. Some people are thinking that Papa Suresh is alive. I think there might be some truth to this thought because the picture used on the cover of his book is of a real actor, Erick Avari. Does anyone have a screenshot of the book? I'm pretty sure it is the same guy.

Did anyone else notice this?

whoa, maybe papa has powers also...which could mean that son may have powers

Yes, I saw the picture on the book which showed up again at Sylar's apartment.

I suspect that we won't see him alive except in flashbacks, if they do those. The first on-line comic showed Mohinder with the body at the morgue and he seemed convinced that his father was dead. Who knows though..besides the creator and writers..

What if HRG and Sylar have Papa Suresh locked away where they're taking Matt in next week's previews? I can't believe they'd have Eric Avari on the back of that book and not use him later - he's way too cool an actor (met him at Dragon*Con this year and he commented on my husband's costume in the hallway - cool dude!)!

WHOA, did you see the '2 minute' recap of Heroes? They show the book again and the actor is NOT the same. Much fuller face. Not the very recognizable Avari.

He was in the first episode as Chandra Suresh. You can see that here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0042805/

Pardon the ignorance ... what does this mean? Is it simply a recasting they didn't synchonize across all elements? Or, is this part of the story somehow?

It could be that he appears in the local countries dress to fit in with the people. The American version would have the American dress while the Indian version would have Indian dress.

How about this theory..Papa Suresh is alive. Papa Suresh is Sylar. I'm thinkinging like a Jekyl and Hyde type thing. The recorded tape could be Papa Suresh/Sylar talking to himself.

Just a thought.

Why would the pictures have changed? I do remember that Erick was in the first episode. Even if he weren't going to appear in future episodes, why change the picture in the middle like that?

Hopefully just a mixup. Mayeb the recap was created a while ago and the actor wasnt cast yet? The actual episode shows Avari. Dont know why the recap would mess up like that - just an observation, didnt mean to start a firestorm smile.gif

Now, that is a very interesting theory.. And makes a certain amount of sense. Hmmm... Here is a screan cap of Sylar that someone lightened up in another thread. Does it look like Papa Suresh? Does to me...

The pic of sylar is a Caucasian not Indian like the actor for papa suresh.
Speaking of well known actors I noticed on IMDB that simone?s sick father was played by Richard Roundtree in the first episode.

I, for one, believe that Chandra Suresh is still alive and well and hiding from Sylar. Perhaps, he even staged his own death to throw him off the trail. Obviously, from the phone conversation Sylar knows that Suresh is searching for "Heroes." That may have been enough for Suresh to go into hiding. I think it would be a nice plot twist to connect Chandra Suresh with Hiro Nakamura and have them meet, even if it is in the past!

Did he play that one professor guy in The Mummy?
Janiner
or they could just use him later for flashbacks or something. I think I saw that guy on some tv shows hehe

Thanx for the caps!
As soon as Erick's face showed up on the book jacket, half the folks in my living room cried out "Hey! Look who's on the book! The guy from THE MUMMY! Whatsisname..."
Although he's far from a household name, Mr. Avari can take comfort in the fact he is a household FACE.

I don't recall seeing him in the three broadcast episodes so I'm guessing he'll have camera time in upcoming episodes. Remember, all we have as "proof" of his death is a second-hand conversation and his absence from the aprtment. Could be ann assassination attempt failed and claimed some other poor Indian/Pakistani. Knowing he was in someone's crosshairs is good motivation to avoid his usual digs.
