Ubuntu user? I mean, why don't you have the latest and greatest flash?

I have to admit that I too don't have the latest and greatest flash. There are so many things that I have to update on this old bucket that it gets very annoying.

Yeah, it does - which is why I first assumed you were an Ubuntu user. wink.gif

Annoying or not its still your responsibility to stay updated. If you don't stay updated, you'll never get any support for your system, because if something goes wrong, the very first thing any professional will do is tell you to update before they can help you. Think of it as vaccine shots for your computer - painful, but necessary.

This is sage advice for Microsoft Windows patches, Virus scans, updating a firewall, etc. However, I believe I haven't fully explained how dire the situation is. My ISP is CompuServe, and I connect through Dial Up via an aging Gateway Desktop which uses Windows XP. smile.gif Are you still in the chair, or are you ROTFL or standing up pointing at the screen and yelling? smile.gif I would find it hard to believe Michelangelo could've painted the Sistine Chapel using crayons. Plus, I am definitely NOT Michelangelo. smile.gif The simplest of Windows patches can last for 50 minutes. While using Trend Micro's virus scan Friday night (during the Stargates), I had three joyful hours. Downloading the latest and greatest flash, which I'll never use and will most likely cause some unforeseen headache to occur? I have enough problems.
