Let's see how impossible this is.
Mohinder and Eden at Sylar's taking pictures.
They call the police after finding all the murderoues psychophenalia.
Perhaps, they go outside to wait 10min tops. Maybe 2 min.

They walk into the place, and it is empty.

There are only a few possibilities for this:
1. Sylar can move ludacrous speed.
2. Sylar can stop time like Hiro.
3. Sylar has some sort of super houskeeping power that cleans everything in site.

I think I'll go with 3.

Although I realize you're being silly, I would like to offer a 4th option. Sylar is not working alone. He's either leading a group of "villians" or he's working with HRG - or both.

Option 5) There was no time frame given between when they found the confessional and when they came back with the cops. Maybe it was enough time for a cleaning team (either affiliated with Sylar or with HRG) to get in and clean up.

How they new to clean up is another question, but the most obvious so far is that Eden contacted someone, or the apartment has some sort of alarm system...

I go with option number 5 Not all the things have to do with superabilities wink.gif

I still do not see how it is possible.
What is the longest it could have taken po-po to get there?
I would say 10-20min tops.

It might have been Eden that contacted the bad guys, but even still. This was most definitely not a natural event. There were super powers involved.
Super houskeeping powers that is.

Have you ever tried to get the police to go anywhere? Not only that but they had to find an excuse for knowing what is in that apartment (they did break and enter after all). I would say they took at least an hour, but there is no direct information. It is still a stretch, but I have seen it done in shows before.

OK an hour. That is stretching it, but that still supports my theory. Super houskeeping powers to do all that in less than an hour.

To clean that whole place out, and clean it up like that takes normal human hours upon hours. If not days to get it that spotless.
Master Xander
Hey, maybe it's the same people who cleaned out Niki's garage. tongue.gif

Nikki's clean up was done by her doppleganger and it took her 4hrs (check Micah's phone call to her) but i don't think Nikki was anywhere close to New York where this clean up was done but i'm leaning towards Sylar being able to move at super fast speed it'll explain his exit when shot by Matt a fast moving telekenetic...

It appears to me that when they break in, there is quite a bit of light coming in thru the windows. When the come back with the police is sounds like a thunderstorm, the same storm which is taking place when Peter is hitting on Simone at Pete's brother's fund-raiser, which, by the way is taking place at night.

So i think an hour would be on the quick side of things, more like three, four, five hours (assuming that Mohinder broke in to the apartment in the afternoon...perhaps it was morning, altho i don't know of people who would make mac and cheese in the morning).

Good point. I don't think the clean up had anything to do with superpowers. Poor Suresh trusted the wrong woman.
Abraxas
Yeah, I caught that last time...it's daylight when they go in and pretty dark and stormy when they return. Which then in turn makes you wonder why not one of them remained to keep an eye on the apartment (from somewhere that Sylar won't kill them if he spots them, of course), but they both went to the police...I think that was a bit careless on their side.

By the way, if you check out my inconstencies thread, we came to the conclusion that this is probably not the same day that MaybeSylar is at the FBI station...and I think it isn't. I know, I edited it right now...because I got confused. I said something else in in the inconsistencies thread.
I think it IS deceiving writing, playing with your wrong assumptions that it is the same day. But if you read my aforementioned thread you will see there is no way they keep one constant timeline and so I think Sylar had all the time in the world (considering he's a super all the time he needed) to clean up. Then go kill that family. Then go and try to get the girl. If it was him, anyway. We don't know, just assume. I'm not sure, I have to say.

Ok hold on...did Eden stay back at the apartment or did she go with Mohinder? If she went with him I don't see how any of your suspicions make sense, if she didn't, at least I was wrong about them handling this the wrong way.
Master Xander
I was kidding about the Niki clean-up thing. Hence, the tongue.gif smiley. smile.gif

I don't think the housecleaning was Eden's own physical doing... but she probably still has something to do with it.
Abraxas
Another option:
It's an illusion. Perhaps created by Eden? She's walking slowly through the rooms...she's very suspicious.
Although an illusion is risky, since Mohinder could touch the walls in disbelief and realise something is wrong. But you can take the chance.

hey i said that in hte plant thread. zomg thread theif

kidding ;p

atleast its comforting to know someone read it.

./sigh

forums normally just cause extensive cognative dissonance, very rarely can you get people that can read, write, and think allon the same forum. ;p
Abraxas
Sorry, I didn't read it. tongue.gif

Think again.

Everytime something disappears, an illusion is on my list. Maybe because I played quite a few RPGs. wink.gif

I don't think that it is ever safe to asume a time frame inside of the Heroes world. Unless we are told what time it is, I think its safe to say that we don't know.
Ego
The way I see it, if Sylar is truly telekinetic he would be able to clean his apartment while he was off on top-secret kidnapping missions for Eden. You know, whenever he's feeling especially suspicious or when his Martha Stewart complex kicks in he'll just strain his mental power and have all of his belongings leap out of the window (open, of course, lest he get glass on the carpet). He probably spends his free time on the subway washing his walls-- that's certainly what I'd be doing if I had super-powers.
insyted
They never even consilidate the whole situation with the police. The next episode Mohinder is back at his apartment, and they never even mention what happened with Sylar's apartment or the police.
