http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews..elevisionNews-1Okay, not directly related to Heroes. But is anybody here watching this show?
I know critics panned this show for the most part. Never got the good reviews that "Heroes" did.

Sweet! I must say I have been watching this show and I am liking it just as much if not more than Heroes... but really I am fairly up in the air at the moment as to which will become a deeper show. I am loving it though. Definintly worth checking out for all of you who haven't.

Great news since the only 2 new shows I am watching this season are Heroes and Jericho. I am not much of a TV watcher, but at least I have Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (Earl & The Office) and Fridays (Doctor Who) covered.

In my opinion the first two episodes of Jericho were incredibly boring, predictable and often times downright stupid.

But nobody asked you . . .
I do agree that the first two episodes were slow-ish at times, but (as many reviewers pointed out) things have REALLY started to pick up with he third and fourth episodes. There's a VERY intriguing sub-plot starting to develop which makes the show worth watching all by itself (involving the ex-cop from St. Louis).
It's no "Heroes," but then again, it's not meant to compete with "Heroes" in any way -- different shows altogether, different premises, and different levels of drama/intrigue.
"Jericho" has a LOT more in common with "LOST" than it does with "Heroes," IMO.

You think so? It's hard to believe judging from the silly writing I have seen. The cop from St. Louis seemed to be their "new smart guy" or something, but he just said some bunch of things that are wrong or make no sense. That's basically when I lost hope in the people of Jericho.
Maybe if it turns out the season has been a hit, then I'll give it a try.

Hey, I like Jericho, it's fine so far. It's no Heroes, but it's something new and it's not 'reality tv'.. I REALLY HATE 'reality tv'.

I just ended a nearly six-year love affair with Reality TV, and it feels goooooood.
So Jericho, eh? Never heard much about it. The Hero-related point here was the theory that the two shows are connected, which is helped by both of them being renewed at around the same time. Although I still don't believe it.

You're missing subtleties and layers here -- the cop from St. Louis is NOT what he seems (or what he says?), and to some degree he is misleading and in some cases lying to the people of Jericho. How much lying, and why? Not sure yet, but things REALLY picked up during Episode 3 with regards to the cop's sub-plot.

Alsome. I admit I watch this show. The pilot didn't snag me like Heroes did but I held threw for 2 more episodes cause my mom is typing it. Then after the 3rd episode aired it hit me and I starting to like this show much more.

Jericho has the potential to be a great mystery drama. When I saw the promos over the summer I just thought it was going to be a tv series version of the 1983 movie Testament starring William DeVane but Jericho goes far beyond the shadow of that famous nuked America movie and it keeps me and other viewers guessing just what exactly is the back story to this entire attack on the U.S.

I'm glad to hear that! I'm loving Ugly Betty. Monday I watch Heroes and Thursdays I watch Betty, I admit I am a reality show junkie, but if it comes between Ugly Betty and Survivor? Ugly Betty will win hands down.

You know, I would have liked Jericho a lot more if I didn't have heroes to compare it to. Heroes keeps enough mystery and cliff-hanging action without moving at a slow crawl. Jericho feels like a bait-and-switch, you think you are getting more information, but each week they are (literally) just putting out fires. They make up a new small problem to avoid addressing the big problem. I'll still watch a few more, but it's formula frustrates me. I *love* the concept...execution though...meh.

Booyah! Out of all the new shows that started this season, Hereos, Jericho and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip are the only 3 I like. (thank heavens for DVRs! lol!)
The one thing that really grabs me about Jericho is that it is a multi age group show. Depending how old you are, depends on what you take away with you. It all depends on what you grew up with.

Woo-hoo! Studio 60 gets a full season! <does Dance of Joy>
I gave up on Jericho after 5 episodes. I've got lots of patience with slow paced shows (I'm Lost fan, after all), but neither the story nor the characters clicked with me.
I just hope NBC doesn't cancel 30 Rock. Alec Baldwin is so wonderful!
