This sounds like crap. I mean, where EXACTLY did it come from. Like, a link or photo? You have no proof backing this up.

Here is your proof!

instead of questioning it go look it up!
Inner-Demon
Not only was he not really specific on WHERE it came from, he didn't provide the photo. No confirmation until FACTS are shown kiddo. You should know that. It isn't my job to search up crap that someone else is going on.

He should've known to provide this information from the beginning. I don't have that time to waste like others.

Saying NBC Gallery isn't good enough. And he didn't spell it right either.

If you don't have time to look it up then you don't have time to know. Your proof was given now go change your tampon!
Inner-Demon
No freaking duh the proof was provided. Keep up. He shouldn't make a topic when he can't provide the exact info. You should know that. I'm here to read threads, not chase other websites down to find a photo to support this kids proof. That isn't my job.

I read the thread, there was no proof, theerfore I made that point very clear. You provided the proof, yet you're still going on about it. Please, grow up.

You know.. by posting about how he's going on about it, you're still going on about.

I guess you would want me to link you a clip of a specific sceen if i was talking about some detail then too, eh?

You make a terrible troll. Please, go back to your cave.

Good thing we have moderators to help deal with troll-ish stuff like this . . .

I'm sorry that this caused so much negative discussion. I was only trying to provide new information on Sylar. I did, by accident, post this same entry twice. The other post had a thumbnail photo of the image but it got deleted as a duplicate entry. And, in defense, still photographs that are available early are known as "galleys".

"Reading" the title is understanding the content.

Oh, and BTW, Inner-Demon... I was a kid 40 years ago!

All of you, quit with the name-calling. If you disagree with each other you should at least treat each other civilly without calling each other names.

That was a pretty weak reason to start an argument, guys. Pointless and pathetic. This place is supposed to be where Heroes fans get together and discuss the show and theories and such. It isn't a place where you can Lady and argue about something such as this topic.

Discussion will always form a debate, A debate will always bring out a passion, passion will always lead to an arguement, an arguement will lead to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to Suffering!

Therefore, talking to one and another leads to the darkside. We are all going to Hell!

Peter is Sylar, Drink up!
Hordak Alpha
If Peter were Sylar why would he go to the trouble to change his last name? The guy doesn't even know how to use his freaking powers yet so how can he be Sylar? Sylar was shown in full control of his powers and Peter doesn't even know how to summon up his powers. Sylar is his own character with his own story and isn't Phil the glasses guy or Peter Petrelli.
Sixtus
Not to mention if Peter was Sylar, his entire family would have to change their last name, and Peter also isn't 44 years of age.
Abraxas
Hordak, that's his joke he makes in every reply so far...

How about discussing some of this instead of playing this ridiculous blame game?

1) Paul Edward Sylar? Paul Edgar Sylar? For some reason I thought Sylar was his first name. Strange name, anyway.

2) So he was born in Denver 44 years ago. MaybeSylar at the FBI station = Sylar? Fits the profile and the shots we've seen.

Edit: I accidentally wrote Peter instead of Paul. Heh.

Sylar can't be Peter's dad... he's simply too young! Nathan has to be at least 25 he looks more like 30 with Peter around 26... the mom looks like she's 48... unless he's their adoptive father..
give up this idea of trying to connect Peter and Sylar
Abraxas
Oh, sorry! I meant to write Paul, not Peter. All this silly talk has got me confused, now...

I'm not one of the misguided, it was a typo! laugh.gif
Hordak Alpha
I figured Sylar is the guy's last name. He must not be a comic book fan because, if he were, he'd change his name to something omnimous since he is the baddie like Creeping Death or Whisper. I just hope Sylar truly lives up to the evil murderer villain type soon. I'd also like to see him really duke it out with one of the Heroes soon in a clash of super powers.
Spiderkeg
To be clear on this...

@Inner-Demon
The proof, or at least the location, is given in the thread's title:
New Information on Sylar, (From NBC Galley Photographs)

I don't know where this sudden hostility came from, but not everthing in life is handed to you on a silver platter. Sometimes you need to go look up the proof for yourself. The location was given by the title, the rest was up to you.

Incidentally, the picture in question has also been posted on the thread "Check out the gallery pictures on the NBC website!" which was a day earlier than this thread.

Well, I am rather interested in the new info... which, if true, proves that all those who said Sylar was completely unrelated have so far been proven right.

I'm going to go sadly hang up my 'theory proving' hat... but dang it - I liked my theory. tongue.gif

Then again - if this just goes to prove that Peter isn't Sylar, well, then I guess it's worth it. Ha ha...
The Alternative One
The Gallery Photographs reveal more religious artifacts in Sylar's apartment (other than the writing on the wall). There are white and red candles (Red = energy, vitality, and strength and White = purity, innocence, clarity and unity), there are religious postcards with woodcut images from early Bibles and we see small figurines of angels and saints.

QUOTE (IM Zero @ Oct 17 2006, 09:34 AM) *
I don't think Hiro would have come to Peter if he was Sylar. Sylar seems to be stealing powers. Peter just mimics them.

I anticipate Peter won't gain permanent powers. I think he'll develop the ability to use multiple powers at once.

By making a stand with the other Heroes he'll be able to face Sylar. If I'm right, Peter will become a great leader.

Sylar is doomed to either kill or be killed since someone (Hero or Baddie) will eventually develop powers that eclipse the ones he already has.

now forgive me if no one here is a harry potter fan BUT this is simply the first thing i thought of...
peter and sylar remind me of harry and voldemort. they are both great and both very similar but take diffrent paths on how they use their powers. and then in the quote above me i like what you said about how sylar is doomed to kill or be killed...just like harry and voldemort. it seems to me these two characters may have an epic battle with peter leading and the others to back him up and add in their own ways.
Comet
How do we know that it is the same Sylar in that picture. It's a last name, if he was called Petrelli, would you just assume it was Peter, when it could be Nathan.

Not saying that Nathan is Sylar, just using the name!

This is from the NBC Heroes Photo Gallery (thanks to the guy who posted earlier; just trying to help him out. It IS worth looking at...It's on page 5, top right corner of the photos.

Did you notice the blurry profile shot of the supposed "stand-in" for Sylar?

It's at the nbc gallery, and I saved it if the original picture is taken down.

Oh, come on...do you think they put that there out of the blue? NBC obviously intended to disprove the crazy Sylar theories all around.
I doubt they'd put up Patient Zero Sylar's brother just to mess with us.
Stetsonblade
I just wanted to say to whoever posted Peter and Nathan's age, Peter is 30 which would make Nathan 31-35, maybe older, but I doubt it.

Well, going by the ages of the actors, Peter's is about right (Milo is 29). Adrian Pasdar is 41 years old, though. But, like you, I doubt that the brothers are that much apart in age. I'd say 5 years difference, not 10 years.

Don't feel bad. I also don't believe Peter=Sylar, and in a thread I made, I called Paul Sylar Peter Sylar and had tons of "I agree! Peter IS Sylar"

HolyHellraiser
that little picture gives us a wealth of information and (thankfully) disproves many of the stupid theorys on sylar (sorry but they are) it gives us his age race gender and shows that he had a normal childhood and was even an alter boy so he must of had a fall from grace at some point in his life and got involved with something bad involving mutants probably sthe same stuff mr.b is involved in but now it seems that he is a rouge who is commiting some pretty big sins but he isnt doing evil just for evils sake he is human and at least knows what he is doing is wrong (forgive me for i have sinned on the wall) so the question of why he is commiting these murders and stealing brains/powers becomes evident what is his goal what is he trying to do the good little alter boy sylar was wouldnt just blow up new york so what is he thinking
roxygr1223
wait a sec, Sylar is being played by the dude from LOTR right?
Knaz
Has anyone been able to zoom/focus on the murder article or the sheet that is posted directly behind the alter boy picture? Just wondering if any of that stuff could give us some more information. Also, did anyone notice all the "heads" Sylar had in his apartment? In a lot of the nbc gallery shots there are doll heads (no bodies just the heads) and also skulls of heads (some look human and some look like animals). Just curious.
AznPride
Sylar is much more evil-sounding name to Creeping Death or Whisper in my opinion...
