I know this is about the thirteenth-uptillionth Helix post on this forum, but I wonder why it seemed that MBG kissed the Helix, as if it were a religious icon. And if he's special and loves the Helix so much, which has some obvious tie to being special, why is he teaming up with the bad guy!
Oh Heroes, you sassy devil you! Always with the secrets!

Yeah, I saw this too. I think that HRG got to him before the heroes got to him and told him that what they were doing was the right thing.

Here's the funny thing my mom and I realized about potential religious symbolism in the show.
Please keep in mind that while I do have a religious background and education in Judaism that I am not the most observant person in the world but we both noticed the following (marked for spoilers just in case):
In Sylar's apartment he had the words "Forgive me, I have sinned" scrawled on his walls. Well, we noticed that Mohinder's apartment number is 613. If you study the Torah/Old Testament while the Ten Commandments were given at one time there are actually a total of 613 Mitzvot in the whole of the Torah.
Anyways, like I said, that might be stretching things...just an observation made.

i was thinking the same thing with the whole fact that the kissing of the helix definitly seemed religious...
there was a topic in here a while back about the ancient serpent people who had to fight uluru and how they were "special"..maybe just maybe he beleives in that ish and the "s" shape is in reference to them and their desendents?
sounds wacky but hey everything is wacky when you have super powers
