What did Hiro mean when he told Peter to remember when they first met? Why was that miniscule sentence so paramount that he made Peter remember it? Anybody got a clue to help me out?

It's possible he's referring to either the phone call he's made to the painter, when Peter picked up instead of Isaac, or he's referring to their physical meeting.
As to what's paramount... good question. There must be something terribly important about it that he felt the need to tell Peter to remember it.

Well, I've heard that Tim Kring (Mr. God, IMO) said that Peter will have to choose between what's right and what's wrong. Maybe Future Hiro's reference to either his (FH's) meeting with Peter or Normal Hiro's meeting has something that will keep Peter off the wrong side of the road, so to speak.

I thought F-Hiro meant to tell present hiro where they met (subway) so hiro could visit him from the future, later.

If I were to venture a guess...Hiro is the most textbook case of "good guy" I've ever seen. I'm thinking that when/if Peter has to make that fateful choice of light vs dark that when he meets (PH) he will remember what a good guy is supposed to be and where he stood in the beginning. I think that Hiro and Peter will develope a friendship that may very well be tested to it's limits in the future..what do you guys think?

If Peter needs to tell Hiro when they meet when Hiro calls, then he's accounting for the possibility that their paths won't cross in Texas. Or at any time after that.

I'm thinking that Hiro wants Peter to realize that in time the abilities they have will be deliberate and skillful...to remember how skilled Future Hiro was when they met on the subway instead of the giddy, unpracticed Hiro he's about to know.
I think Peter has the farthest to go to hone his skills and will probably be discouraged along the way. I think part of Peter's responsibility is to bring everyone together. Without all of them, he won't be able to rise up to the level he needs to be...which is why Claire has to live.

I agree with you. I think Peter will need the guidence of BOTH Hiros in order to 1)Get better skilled at his powers 2)Keep him on the right path along the way.

funny you say that, i acutally think that isaac has the furthest to go, he still thinks he has to be high to paint the future...hopefully peter using his power w/o any drugs will help him notice that...

From the look on Isaac's face and what he said in this episode, I think he might have been awakened to the ability he has...NOT just that it's the heroin.

From the giddy expression on Peter's face when he was painting, I think it's not that you have to be high to use the precognitive ability, but rather that the action of precognition makes you high. Since Isaac is high all the time, he can't tell the difference, and he's so hooked he looks for any excuse to get more drugs.
