Actually, the whole Make-up thing was touching, but I had an ex-gf just like that and it made me want to through a book through the screen when she was like "whats her name". He's trying his best and she just bites him. Whoever plays her is a really good actor and i'm interested to see what will happen to them. Think they'll stick together after the whole gas station thing or no?

with their relationship on the rocks, his actions (the food, music, etc) were a bit overboard, so i don't fault her for being suspicious of him possibly cheating.
she'll probably be extremely disappointed that what seemed to be the beginning of a wonderful start to their new relationship together, will turn out to her being stood up, and him not being able /wanting to tell her what happened.
i think the events happening to matt, his discovery and exploration if his powers, and his inability to to tell her about any of this, will only strain their relationship further.

She annoys me really, really really bad, BUT I have to keep reminding myself that we didn't "see" the marriage get to the point it's at.
Maybe Matt did resent her for advancing in her career while he didn't. Maybe he was one supremeo ****** bag. Who knows?

She is very, very easy on the eyes! I cant find what her name is. I'll probably catch a ton of flak for this, but I think that she might just be hotter than Ali Larter. Of course, I kinda have a thing for Brunettes

what confuses me is, she's calling around trying to find out where he is, and he somehow just appears to be waking up from the sofa. how did she miss him there? it's not like he's a small guy ...

I think she is just a bad stereotype of a wife. We don't have enough background info of how Matt used to act but come on. She is definitely borderline Ladyy.

Say what you want about her, but I'm getting the impression Matt's been a bit of a screw up or at least a bit unsupportive or cold to her lately. Surely she's not been the best either... but honestly what bothered me the most about their scenes in the last episode was how creepy he was with the mind-reading thing. All I know is that if my gf started reading my mind and everything and I found out about it later I'd be so ****** and I'd get out of there. It seems so dishonest, to her it just looks like he's locked in with her and he really understands her. To her it looks like the deep connection she has been missing is back, but to him it's just like a game. It's convenient for him because all of a sudden they aren't fighting and he scores... I don't know, I was getting pretty creeped by it.

I think that's what the show's creators are setting up. I think somehow she'll come to find out and believe that he has the ability to hear people's thoughts. And when she does, she'll be extremely POed.
BTW, was anyone else thinking of that Mel Gibson/Helen Hunt movie "What Women Want" (or something like that) during these scenes?

I was thinking of that too. It was very similar in theme.
If she finds out and get ****** then who cares. he could play it off good though. He could be like "I was just discovering my powers. I just thought I was feeling what you wanted." Blah blah blah.
The only interesting scene of the show (in my opinion) with Matt in it was when they finished having sex. She was like it was like you were reading my mind or something. It was funny to know that he really was. Wouldn't that be great though ladies? You could just think "a little to the left" or "harder" and they would just know!

I think she's kind of a shrew. I was so annoyed with her when she was all like "You're working with the FBI? When were you going to tell me that?" He tried to tell her in the previous ep, but then she cut him off expressing all her resentment at him and wouldn't let him talk. I wish he had called her on that when she asked the question.
They're making up was sweet, but from what we've seen of her so far, I don't know why Matt would try so hard. I have to admit though, this is an instance where I can't quite tell if my dislike is for the character as conceived/written, or if it's just the actress I don't like.

Teleporting! Clearly Claire's Dad has some kind of ability/whatever because one seceond he's in Texas and the next Las Vegas chasing Petrelli and then with Matt. Frequent flyer miles? I don't think so.
And yeah. The wife's a little bit screechy.

I really didn't like when she she told him why didn't he tell her about working with the FBI..cuz he tired too and when they were having dinner she said ''what's her name''?
musingmiyu
Oct 24 2006, 03:19 PM
But that just may be her way of coping, since all that (the dinner) seemed too good to be true, and some people may think that's a bad kind of foreshadowing.

Can't really blame her. But I love Matt for trying.

I think they're setting her up as a Sylar kidnapping (or maybe murder) victim. Then again, I think all of the friends/lovers/family members of the heros are going to be dealing with Sylar one way or another fairly soon. I can't be wrong about all of them.

I actually like her. Her and Matt make a sweet couple

It looks like she really cares and worries about him.. And that whole romantic dinner thing was really sweet - it was like she read HIS mind when she started making out with him *lol*

You mean the actor or the character? I *thought* that Matt called her Janice, but I can't find anything about her on the IMDB under that name so I have no idea who the actress is.

Can't say, because I never watched that movie, but it has Groundhog Day written all over it. Naturally, it's a similar situation and who wouldn't try that?
I agree, he should get easy with it or else she will be not be forgiving if she finds out. Which everybody suspects she will (me included).
I think there is no room for their relationship on Heroes.
Sorry, Matt!

I think that every marriage has its problems but if you want to resolve a problem, you don't place blame or run away you try. Matts willing to do that. If anyone seems ready to hit the door its her. Hes trying everthing in his power. Thats just making her more suspicious. I'm not saying shes completely at fault he probably made plenty mistakes. It seems she feels her success her life although part of his is better. I wonder why he didnt tell her about the fbi. I did miss some parts due to bowling leauge so forgive me if what i said was out of line. She seems so ready to leave no matter how he changes. AS for the gas station come on there had to be cameras there what gas station did have at least 4. Also if they brought the kid in you would think he would say something. So the answer to the question. I know women like that the relationship wont last and yes she bugs me to the point of hatred!!

i definitley think that she bugs. But youre supposed to be ****** off by her right now. He's a hero, with no one who believes him. He is also one of the isolated heros. The closest hero to him is in LV so far. He's also close to Silar... so you feel for him, and not like her.
He works for some crazy organization. one, its not hard to catch a flight from Odessa area to Vegas and be back in a day. the other is, everywhere he goes, his little SK is with him. It could be another one of that dude's powers that gets him around.

Matt's wife really, really annoys me. I keep reminding myself that she's probably justified in being upset (I'd be really upset if someone I cared about disappeared and then randomly turned up on the sofa. I can't blame her for freaking out over that at all), but poor Matt seems to really be trying, and she's not very receptive. I also don't like that she obviously feels he hasn't been tending to her wants and needs, but doesn't seem to be willing to *tell* him what those are. If the guy couldn't read her mind, he'd have no idea what she wanted or felt.
