Does anyone find it odd that we have yet to meet Linderman? I wonder if this is significant?

i am not sure who it is...it should have some influence as he is actually influencing a few characters now ala nathan and nikki

Just, a ponderance, has anyone started wondering if Mr. Bennet might work for Linderman...

Does anyone know about the show Las Vegas set at the hotel(montecito)?
I just find it odd that Linderman's associate had full run of the hotel and security staff of the hotel. I hope it isn't just a plot hole. But I don't want to read too much into a crossover.
Just rewatched the episode. Linderman's associate claims that the Monticito is Linderman's hotel. Now it is either a poor crossover or Linderman is connected to the other show.

I don't think it was meant to be a crossover, I think they just borrowed the set.

Linderman is definitely going to be an important character to the story line. Why does he want Nathan to win the election so bad? Enough to go through all the trouble of blackmailing him AND giving him $4M. Does Linderman know about Nathan's power? I would argue that he is assosiated with Claire's dad in some way and has some master plan we will begin to learn more of.

I have a feeling Linderman is a Mob Boss and one of his headquarters happens to be in Vegas @ the Montecito.
I could see a Mob Boss being the perfect first Evil Leader maybe Sylar works for Linderman?

I am tempted to think that the asian lady is actually "Linderman"!
After all, she seems to be able to make million dollar decisions pretty quickly.

Good point. She uses 'Linderman' in order to cover her tracks!

I don't think Linderman is going to be that important to the story. I think he was a means for nathan and niki to meet but I can't say if he's connected in any other way.

I would say linderman will be important. You dont bring up a name with no face for 5 episodes and build him into this ultra powerful mob boss to just ignore him now that hes given nathan a cool 4 mil.
It is possible that Mr. Bennet is working for linderman. This suggests, however, that linderman has geneticists working for him looking for the heroes. Why...? linderman is a mysterious character, but one who existed long because the heroes began to develop their powers. The only other connection we have to linderman is that DLs crew was dead and they had "stolen" 2mil from him. to amass 2mil takes longer than the what... 2 weeks that our heroes have had powers. It wouldnt make sense for someone who can muster that kind of cash to be interested in obscure, comic-book-esque, genetics, especially if we are to believe that he is a calculating mobster/businessman. I would suggest the alternative that either MBG made security forget they passed through or Mr. Bennet has powers of his own. This leaves the hole that they should be on the surveillance tapes. Linderman, though, might not care one way or the other, so long as Nathan's back the tape exists.

I dont think Linderman is connected to the whole Heroes thing but I think he will take a big part in the story soon. I think this b/c If linderman wanted to blackmale Nathan and new about his powers he would just threaten him with that. Unless he's going to threaten Nathan with revealing the tape and then get him to do something with his powers but I think in that case Nathan wouldnt care b/c he at that point would care more about saving lives with his powers!
Linderman I think is like Eden. Just a character to build Nikis storie and eventually bring Niki and nathan together progressing the story with interest but really doesnt have anything to do with the big picture unless maybe Linderman works for MRG!

You mean the bum who passed Mohinder on the street when he was trying to talk to Nathan, don't you?
I'm just kidding of course.
Buuuut... there was a notorious real-life mob boss, Vincent "The Chin" Gigante ( also known as "The Oddfather" ) who walked the streets like a bum, in a bathrobe and slippers, acting crazy, mumbling to himself and urinating on himself for years. He later admitted this was all an act which he put on to avoid prosecution.
So, stranger things have happened I guess.

I think he'll come back to haunt our characters, but how 'important' it is, will come into question. He's got blackmail material on one of our guys, and has some hooks in Niki as well. He could easily try and use them to influence the group's actions.

One line of Nathan's tells me Linderman is here to stay. He tells his bodyguard/campaign manager, "Linderman may have owned my father, but I can handle him." I think that is the exact quote, but I am sure someone will correct me if it isn't.

Sylar's full name is Paul L. Sylar. Maybe the L. stands for Linderman.

It's a big world, people.
There's plenty of room for folks who turn out to be bad guys. Sylar is our show's resident Super-Villain.
Linderman is our show's resident crime lord.
As for why we haven't seen Linderman yet, come on, we've only had 5 episodes! I figure the creators are doing the sensible, competent act of laying the groundwork for a later episode. Imagine if we didn't have these cryptic references to Linderman and the appearance of his minions-- in such a case, when Linderman finally DID appear, people would be complaining "Hey, how come we haven't heard anything about this guy before now?!"
I see Linderman as being a Howard Hughes type rather than a Syndicate boss.
