Yes, THAT Meatloaf.

Excerpt:"Meat Loaf unleashes "Bat" for third flight

NEW YORK (Billboard) - By his own estimation, Meat Loaf has turned down offers to appear in five movies, six episodes of the new TV hit "Heroes" and a guest-starring stint on "CSI" this year. If he wanted, the rock veteran could be working like, well, a bat out of hell. But come to think of it ... he is anyway. The monster that Meat Loaf helped create in 1977 has been unleashed again, and it's chewing up all his time and energy -- with his full and willing cooperation."

Meat Loaf was Sylar?! ;)

I think so too.

What would be the point of having Meat Loaf on the show? He isn't exactly the greatest actor in the world. He is a rock singer and should stick with that.

Meat Loaf is a great actor!

He's better than a lot of actors at the minute.
Hooplehead
I for one am glad he turned it down. smile.gif

So I guess you've never seen 'Fight Club?'

He would have been a great super-powerd cannibal serial killer if you ask me. cool.gif

His name is Robert Paulson.

I think in retrospect a lot of actors regret (or not) the choices they were offered and refused after the show/movie takes off and becomes a success. Let's make sure Meatloaf regrets this and get more people to watch and discuss it more.

GG Heroes.

I just love how they seem so certain that Meatloaf was going to play Matt, and since it was only for six episodes, then something bad must happen to Matt. Uh, is it possible he was going to play anyone else? Hello?

Meatloaf is a pretty good actor. Oscar winner? Nope, probably not. But he's a damn sight better than some people who keep showing up on TV and film wink.gif

Not to mention the exemplary work he did in Bloodrayne..

Meat Loaf did make an appearance a while back in Marvel Comics I think. In an ad for something, so he is experienced in the superhero area. biggrin.gif

I don't watch any movies with Brad Pitt in them so I wouldn't have seen Meat Loaf. The only thing he is good for is singing.

So Meatlof isn't a good actor because you never watched a movie he was fantastic in due to the fact that it starred another actor whose work you refuse to watch for some bizarre ( and unknown ) personal reason?

You're not in any position to even have an opinion on this matter, much less argue about Meatloaf's merits as an actor.

Incidentally, Brad Pitt has been in a number of incredibly good movies. The fact that you haven't seen any of them because you refuse to watch him ( wtf? ) sort of makes your opinion on matters related to films, actors, and even television irrelevant.

I've seen Meat Loaf act on that episode of Tales from the Crypt he starred in with Christopher Reeve. Meat Loaf's acting was mediocre at best. Sort of like taking someone off of the street who has no acting training and then you ask them to act. Brad Pitt's arrogant ego is what keeps me from seeing any of his films.

I'm sorry but I gotta step in on this. Fight Club is one of my favorite movies, and I'll be damned if I'll just sit here and listen to someone describe it as a "Brad Pitt Movie".
This is one of the most violent, funny, insightful and quotable films ever. I have the DVD, and have seen it a lot of times, even with commentary by cast (wich a lot of DVDs have for some reason, but this is the only time I ever used that resource).
Do NOT say it's anything less than awesome, or I will feed your brains to Sylar.
By the way, Jack Nicholson has a gargantuan ego. Sean Connery has a reputation for being a pain in the ****** Do you not see their films also?
Hordak Alpha
I don't watch Jack Nicholson films either. tongue.gif

Seriously, if you're just annoyed with Brad Pitt's 16 year-old-dumb-female fanbase, you don't know what you're missing. The dude knows his acting. Spy Games, Fight Club, Ocean's 11...those are all pretty damn good.
kitty
that man is stupid for giving up a chance to act with Adrian Pasdar and Milo Ventimiglia
moheevi
you're missing out (12 monkies, chinatown, as good as it gets)
