I'm liking DL's abilities to phase but am disappointed to see that Nikki's other self is kinda like an evil twin. Anyone feelin me on this?

I think they're starting to push the story too fast. They tied up a lot of loose ends here, without adding many new ones.

We don't know anything about Nikki's other self a.k.a Jessica. Until I know more on Jessica and what her motives are I'm going to hold back on the whole Jessica is the evil twin thing. I was more into the HRG story in this episode when it was conformed who Eden was working for. That she was a plant this whole time.

This story still has enough loose ends to make an afghan, lol

It's kinda nice that the DL/Niki/Micah story is fleshing itself out finally.

But yeah, this episode wasn't that great. It also went by really fast.

And this was supposed to clear up Nikki/Jessica's storyline? It made it worse.

I personally overhyped it. The Niki/DL fight was decent, but toooo fast, I liked the final move though.

Hiro got a litlle emo about his actions, and didn't really do much.

Peter and Issac went 2 inches forward on a mile of stuff.

No Simone, Nathan, or Matt. That's total BS.

The whole Eden and HRG thing was spoiled for me. (I'm never going for another Heroes Spoiler thread ever again)

That whole bit with Claire and her Bioparents was stupid.

HRG is a very dynamic character.

Those are my thoughts, this eppy wasn't nearly as good as it should be.

I'm P.O.ed that you only saw DL phase twice. Once in the wall, and once into Niki. (The door at the parlor was just implied).

I don't think they're running out of loose ends at all. I mean, just because they didn't leave us with too many questions or a big cliffhanger this episode doesn't mean that all of our questions have been answered...in fact, bigger questions are likely to appear in future episodes...

This one just had a change of pace. Best episode? No. But I'm starting to like HRG as character...

What happened to Niki? And what happened to Jessica?

I don't quite know what you mean by this but it sounds as if it's derogatory and if that's the case, I resent that, I'm Afghan and there's no room for bigotry on these boards.

I like that some things are starting to wrap up... particularly "how does everyone get together?" Correct me if I'm wrong, but after DL and Hiro meet up in next week's episode as the preview appears to suggest, won't Claire be the only hero not at least mostly in the loop/getting together? Oh, and Matt, forgot about him until I bemoaned his absence in the episode.

As for what's on my mind:
What happened to Matt?! One episode he's barely in it, the next episode he's all over the episode and the next after that he's not in it at all?

How do the guys in the poker room fit into it all? This is a plot line I was not expecting to turn into a big one, but if anti-Niki felt they were worth killing...

Is HRG really a bad guy? I'm beginning to doubt it. He appears to actively want Mohinder in NYC fishing about in this thing, which is my biggest doubt.

anti-Niki may not be a hero, but a villain. I'm really beginning to wonder about her, and about Niki as anything more than a vessel for her. I'm confident that the creators have placed a seed of the wrong-doers in the show, and since I'm not sure HRG is a wrong-doer, there are few alternatives left.

I actually enjoyed the episode but I wonder what in the world DL did to Nikki. Did he kill her? Did he somehow disable her evil half? Anyone have any theories, and what of the previews for next week. Looks like Michah has abilities afterall.

I was disappointed in the episode. Anticlimatic. And they need to stop with all the previews at the end of the episodes - it's like they think their cliffhangers aren't good enough. Choose having a cliffhanger OR preview, not both!

I didn't like this episode, mostly because it was Niki centric, and I don't like Niki's character, and I hope bad stuff doesn't happen to Isaac.

First of all, people from Afghanistan are 'Afghans' not 'Afghanis', that's the currency. Secondly, obviously I was mistaken. I've heard of the Afghan Whigs, but never heard of an 'afghan' blanket so that's where I was confused.My apologies. No biggie. (no pun intended either)

Eden isn't visiting Isaac to slice his head in half is she? I don't think she's Sylar but she did have sort of a sinister approach to that scene.

According to dictionary.com both the terms Afghan & Afghani are acceptable for a person from Afghanistan. If you still think I'm wrong, take it up with their editors. The only person who put "racial boundaries" on anything was you.



Please explain to me how that could have been derogatory even if I was referring to an Afghani and not a blanket. Otherwise I will assume that you just saw the word afghan and got defensive for absolutely no reason.

what is Nathan the better half of? It was definately a play on words relating to the Niki/DL relationship and the Niki/Ikin relationship.

this episode might not have been the best of the ones so far, but i think its helping lead up to next weeks episode which from the preview looks like its going to be great.

alot of this episode was predictable as it went along. i made ties between alot of the things like who killed the poker table guys, who they poker guys were that linked to other characters lives, what dl's powers were going to be, ect. but it was still entertaining to me (still not as much as the hiro ep.)

but yea. next weeks looking good. wish i didnt have to wait.

I haven't stopped talking about the episode because of this, lol. In the future, try using context and word placement to figure out what the person is saying before jumping to conclusions and accusing someone of racism.

this episode was pretty neat, i just liked seeing DL's power go in action for the first time. i figures that was what it would be.

these are my predictions i have no clue if im right

ummm first of all Niki (and ikiN and Jessica and Niki v2.0 )is a vilain and shes "dead" for now...

DL and micah are the heroes that help prevent the explosion with all the other heroes.

The show will make us think niki is dead until they bring her back like 20 episodes later where we will be surprised by her.

Claire's bio-parents arent her biological parents and HRG is the only one who knows it

Sylar is Mohinder in the future who goes back in time to steal ppls powers by chopping of the top of their heads...

Impressed by DL's ability, which came out of left field since he wasn't identified (up to now) as one of the Heroes. And I agree, that if both mom and pop have superpowers, it going to stand to reason the Micah will soon show his own.

I still don't want to count out Niki/Jessica. I really feel there's going to be a good and noble reason for Niki's gift on down the road. She did hasten Hiro and Ando's departure by wiping out the poker players. Perhaps some of the things she has to do, is to push the others along and keep them from being delayed.

Actually the online comic book did pretty much imply that DL was a good guy and showed his abilitiy that he could go threw walls, etc. Of course the comic book spoils a little of the show but if you just can't wait till the next episode then the comic will do just fine for that little extra bit of info each week.

Remember HRG told her to pick him up at the end of their phone conversation.

Also Hiro needs to cut himself some slack. Tex was getting on my nerves anyway and I'm glad Nikki tore him apart.

the tagline thing for this episode was "surviving blurs the line bw good and evil."

let's say nikki did die for a second, but she wakes up and is alive, only now nikki and jessica are combined into one personality. good and evil.

jessica also kind of showed us that she has super strength. i mean she threw DL across the room and a swing of a birefcase AND she had ripped limbs off of those people that she and DL found in that building (before they found them, when they were alive of course).

so what if nikki and jessica are one person? that person may retain jessica's super strength. so MAYBE nikki's real power is just superstrength after she and jessica are combined.

It looked to me like he grabbed on to her heart until she passed out. I couldn't tell if she was breathing when they left though.

Maybe it's something Nikki will be able to better control in the future, just like Issac. He looks like he's starting to be able to get intuitive flashes without drugs (the paint-rubbing scene).

I felt this episode was almost filler... it seemed to lack the wow factor of the previous eps. I mean think about it, this week's big reveal was the Eden business. But here's the problem, everyone I know had already figured it out, so no big surprise there. Heck they even had a shot of her with HRG in the "Save The Cheerleader" promo they ran before the marathon for last Sunday.

That said, a filler ep of this show is simply better than most other tv out there.

Oh and as to the whole names of peoples thingy...

I agree with your thoughts - I thought that this episode moved a little slow for me. It answered my question about Eden - Mohinder's neighbor. I knew she was too good to be true & probably was up to no good. Also what's up with Hiro & his friend(sorry I can't remember his name) at the poker game? Who do you think killed everyone in the room Nikki's alter ego named Jessica or maybe DL? Did they kill them to protect Hiro or was Hiro & his friend at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Also I knew those were not Claire's parents as soon as her father claimed he had found them!

Still enjoyed the episode but it wasn't me sitting on the edge of seat watching it being very excited or amazed like I have been with every episode thus far!

But I guess every episode isn't going to be that way - some are going to answer our questions - some make us have new questions to ponder & some just kick a**!

I don't think Nikki's other self (Jessica?) is an evil twin. She is the polar opposite of Nikki I think. Where Nikki is scared and timid, Jessica is strong/very blunt. The difference between the two is Jessica is willing to do ANYTHING to protect her life as well as her childs. Yes she will kill but she does not do it without reason. If she wanted to she could have killed that thug in the elevator but held back. She killed the two thugs in the garauge because her life was in danager. She killed DL's old crew because they first tried to kill her (according to the online comics).

This tells me she is not as evil as you think. She just has a VERY bad temper and is overly protective. Where someone might want to use a scalpel she would probably use a chainsaw. She is violent but it seems she must have a reason to kill so she is not some pyscho killer. I don't think Wolverine in X-men is evil although his morals are extremely flexible from what I've read/seen. Doesn't mean he is evil, just means is probably shouldn't go to church

[font=Book Antiqua] HRG's interest in the powers Eden found people had changed my view of him. When told Eden heard about a guy who could control Time and Space, his response was "Cool". Makes me think he's trying to find out about these evolved people. He definitely has people behind him, - Eden; the guy with powers similar to Matt's - Why no name for him yet? - and who knows who could be working with HRG? But we also find out he doesnt know everything. So he's not the government. Didn't know Claire was in danger.
"Bring in the Precog..." HRG's like us. Knowing abut these people, that they have powers, even what some of their powers are. - Nathan's flying didn't really seem to surprise HRG - but he doesn't know them all. What all of them can do. Seems he trying to figure out this thing. And whats' with the 2 pair of glasses? Is it an alternate time-line thing courtesy of who?; Hiro?
The Nikki/Jessica mirror conversation - Jessica does things, but maybe Nikki is really in charge. Jessica convinced Nikki that she had to go along with the scheme. Jessica didn't come off like she could just take over in the situation with DL.
