Even so, she did just find out from mom that they were concerned about her having some chromosome-related condition as a baby. She may have just been processing that information.

I think she was just wondering why he found them so fast this time, when last time he couldnt find them at all. Because they were fake!

Well, as someone who has met his birth father after many years of not knowing about him, those meetings can be terribly strange, and awkward.

I think it may be something like Wolverine's origin. Before his mutation, he was a weak little boy who always got sick. Perhaps little Claire was terribly sick and coughing all the time? Well that's just a quick theory. I do hope the explanation on the show's neater than that.

It doesnt seem that Claire is a dim wit. I think that with the things that happened with her "dad" she is starting to catch on that something here is not quite right. I know that she is suppose to find out he has the video tape next week..that will open up a whole new can of worms.

I don't think she knows everything yet but certainly when she heard there was this cromosone thing when she was a kid makes her think now that her father might know a little more about her abilities than he's let on.

If she does find out dad has that tape she's going to ****** bricks.. I remember hearing someplace she's supposed to figure out her dad and she runs away. That could be very well what the heroes have to save her from.. Save her from her dad, whether directly or indirectly.. I say indirectly because he's playing this game with the other heroes and he obviously has this little network of pawns and Claire might accidently get caught up in that.

What if the man in the ball cap and trench coat who we all believe is Sylar is connected to HRG in some way..

She obviously caught onto something. Dad deceiving her, fake bio-parents, things simply not adding up in her own mind, etc. She's a bright cookie, Claire is, and will use that to her advantage in future episodes (but will also fall into the youthful trap of lack of wisdom as well).

On a side note, when my sister met her biological parents it was much better than those two ... a very warm, wonderful and friendly meeting and continued relationship. But she has a strong adoptive family (us) and a good biological family as well.

At least I don't my think dad is some spooky guy like HRG (although he did know Mister Rogers well and does wear bad glasses0.

It was funny that just before all this she was just saying that her dad is a simple man and that he couldn't wrap his ming around soemthing like this. I think that when she was hugging him she was reconsidering those thoughts.

If by "catching on" you mean figuring out that there's something not altogether on the up-n-up about her "dad", no I don't think she is. I do think that she is trying to figure out what the deal is with her being different and now she knows that there was some kind of defect and attempt to find her parents.

Now, when she (allegedly) finds out where her stunt tape ended up... then things might heat up a little.

But she has been asking questions about her parents and who she is, i think she was a little perturbed to find out that they conveniently did not tell her something that was obviously genetic.

I agree, but I don't think that a teenager perturbed by her adoptive parents equals 'catching on'.

i hope she is catching on...i think shes getting some conformation of her situation and now sees that it probably is hereditary...i dont think it would be so weird of her to want to believe that those werent her parents since it didnt go well...i dont think claire is dumb and thinks it was gonna be a fairytale but i think she expectee something i think when her mom mentioned something about the parents she said to herself "what if?" it will have to be confirmed by her fathers odd actions...i wonder if the father wants claire to confess her powers to him...maybe thats part of why he gets the fakes so she will be forced to ask him questions..its still a possibilty claire isnt thinking anything other than "o something is different about me..." because she doesnht know how shady her father seems
