1. a boner in the locker room (this is weak evidence since highschool boys can be weird about this stuff)

2. Zack's myspace page... if your 2 favorite movies are Rocky Horror Picture Show and Priscilla Queen of the Desert then it does make me wonder

3. When Claire asked if he was flirting he said "no, trust me, I'm not" then he had that cute look away like... uh... you are pretty Claire, but not my type in the your a girl type of way

4. One of his next sentences from that encounter was "Are you going to come out to your parents?" about Claire telling her biological parents about her "gift" ect...

I think Zack being gay could be a very good thing. He can be a unconditional, supportive friend for Claire without strings of dating, sex, etc. The roles of friends in our lives is very important and can be much more enduring than that of a romance or a boyfriend that can come or go.

Yeah, I DID wonder about the use of "coming out" in reference to Claire revealing her powers. It seemed like a calculated choice of phrase.

I thought so to. I think he is definitely gay. I think any normal kid would just be like "Are you gonna tell your parents the truth" or "Are you going to tell them your secret?"

I haven't been impressed with the 'love storylines' so far in the show. The painter and Simone - no. Simone and Peter - NO!. Eden (great name) and whats-his-name - no.

I was bored with the Nicki and DL scenes until they started kicking the crap out of each other.

So, I'm hoping he is gay and they aren't any teen-aged snogging sessions.

Actually getting a "boner" in front of other Men is a commen occurence in Hetrosexual males. It's a sign of nervousness. It's to compensate. You should read up in it.

If he's gay I will be very surprised because he looks like a love sick puppy to me...I think he said he wasn't flirting with her because he thinks that she's out of his league (which she is) and don't want to be turned down...But I think she's loosing the cheerleader/popular thing real fast...

I don't think that he's gay. I think the whole "comming out" thing was to simply show the similarities between the problems Clair is having confronting her parents about being special and those problems that a gay teenager would face.
Stan Lee used a similar metaphor comparing the trials and tribulations of the mutants to those of the people involved in the civil rights movement of the 1960s.

My point is that I think this is just a good writting, making the show's situations more applicable to a wider audience

Hmm don't know about the gay thing...it's a possiblity and would avoid this show becoming another awkward "teen-soap thingy" (yes that is the technical term for it)...
