as Niki laid on the floor after DL stopped her heart to get her off of him she looked like she was turning blue and then the Narration that Mohinder does at the end mentioned something about how some have to perish, so is she gone?

No, she can't be gone yet. "Jessica" has to try and get their son back.

Although the show would like you to be cliff-hangered (word?) there, there's just no way they'd spend that much effort on her character and kill her off this early in the show. I know that's just opinion, but I just can't see it.

I also would like for her not to be dead... she needs to go after Micah, the previews for next week look interesting though!

I think its a bit too early for them to kill her off. Personally, I didn't notice her turning blue at the end there. I really hope they don't get rid of her before we can find out more about the extent of her abilities.

didn't she open her closed eyes?
Do dead people do that?

Even if I hadn't seen blurbs for upcoming episodes, I'd still say Niki/Jessica was alive because of her eyes. In TV blocking, the one way to cetify a character is dead is to show them with unmoving, OPEN eyes. N/J's were closed.
On the other hand, Niki might be finally losing control of her body to Jessica. Isaac's wiping the portrait to reveal the hidden "S-sigil" but be a metaphor that Niki was now Jessica.

I like the idea of having a good guy and a bad guy in the same body. It's something different that I haven't seen in most super hero storylines.

I just watched the episode again and my theory is that Jessica is now dead and Niki has control of the power. When Issac was wiping the paint away I noticed blood coming out of Niki's nose I believe. This may be a drawing of a death and if he changed it from Niki to Jessica by wiping it away, then maybe Jessica is dead.

That would really be interesting. I'd love to see how Nikki tries to explain to people like Linderman that she doesn't know as much as they think she knows. I'm not sure how the writers would explain how Jessica died and Nikki survived, but I'm getting tired of all the scenes of Nikki being freked out by Jessica.

It would be nice if Niki had control of her body and what she does. I want to see her go after her sun!

Niki/Jessica will be back. They just need to regroup after that nasty runin w/ DL.
I think of this character as Rambo meets the sheepherder. She is not consciously aware of it, but, nonetheless, she'll push all Heroes together.
