Full Version: Anyone notice Peter's neck is Bleeding?
9th Wonders Boards > Episode Discussions > Season One > #6: "Better Halves"
The Riddler
Red paint maybe? He DID just get done painting the picture of Claire in that scene.

I had to look at it again to make sure.
I thought there was dirt on my TV or something.
Anyone else catch that Peter's neck is Bleeding while he's on the phone with Hiro...

Look at the replay
It looks like he's growing a scar on his neck.
When he's about to call Simone it's there too.
It's the scar Hiro from the future is talking about.
Socrates
Screenshot anyone?

If you look at Part one
at NBC.com
http://www.nbc.com/Video/rewind/full_episodes/?show=heroes

Around 4:40 gives the best view

In the start of the story he's almost always looking to the left.
When he does look to the right each time the scar on his neck is there.

Isaac is almost always looking at him from the other side.

Anyway perhaps using his powers has a side effect.
Future Hiro said "You don't have the scar"
Which means Hiro never saw him without the scar.

Expect Issac to notice the scar on his neck next week.

I think its just paint. The same color is all over his hands which is all paint. plus here is a picture of a future episode, and the spot is gone.

This is from episode 7 nothing to hide. I got it from http://www.heroes-forum.com

I totally thought the same thing, but after rewinding and watching 3 or 4 times, I had decided it was a shadow and I was fishing.

Now I'm gonna have to watch it again, darnit! wink.gif
Mighty Lauren

I think the scar Hiro from the future was referring to was on his face.

It's a clear cut if you look at the video.

Looks like a cut, huge difference between looking at paint & a cut on someone's neck.
Chi Rombuu
Yeah dude, i saw that it was paint! That happens alot..i always end up touching my neck or face when i paint
Franzinator
Definatly Paint although why someone in make up would have put it there i dunno.

This is a TV show with a budget guys
Why would Peter be in like 3 different scenes with Paint on his neck?
1 shot clear view
& 2 shots where you can just see it.

He's talking on the phone with Hiro & turns around the right direction once to get a clear view of it & it's paint...

Then he goes to straighten up the pictures & you get a glimpse of it.

Even in the beginning of the show you can see it.

How many TV shows would leave paint on a character that looks like a gash in his neck

Look at the clip on NBC or watch it again on TiVo
Master Xander
It's paint.

I don't think Peter or Isaac would totally not notice it and not address it. Especially if it's THAT big and noticeable.

In the NBC Two Minute Replay for this week

When they get to the part that says "This Monday on Heroes, Every Clue"
And then it shows Mohinder holding a Key.
Then it goes dark, makes a "whoosh" sound.
And then shows 2 marks on the back of someone's neck with someone pulling down the shirt a little to reveal it.

Are those 2 marks the hash marks that come off that dna strand symbol thing, fixing to form the rest of it? Does it form somewhere on Peter when he uses a power? Or the rest of them too, somewhere?

In the next week Preview
There's someone in the bathroom
Looking at their neck.

I'll wait to see if it's Paint on the guys neck.
All I can say is the video clip looks like a cut.
Alls End
Could be a side effect of Peter using other's powers.
jettasian
Can anyone confirm? I can't seem to play the video...
Keshire
Picks up Hiro's Phone call. You see it. Turns around and also see exact same type of marks on both arms. It's paint.

This isn't to say that it can't happen of course. Look at Niki.
HolyHellraiser
i dint even see that but yeah probably just paint. i dont see why he would get a cut/scar from his powers just doesnt make sence to me then again neither does nikis helix tattoo apearing and disaperingwhen she transforms and we know thats going on so who can say but when its not there next week well have our answer.

Because they didn't leave the paint on the character, they put the paint there on purpose! It's an atmospheric effect that is part of the story! The man has just been painting! He is going to have paint on his hands, and probably on his clothes, not to mention other places. He is also probably going to do things like touch his face and neck with the paint on his hands and leave paint marks on himself. It's what happens when someone paints!

This like asking why NBC left dirt on a character who had just been mud wrestling.

Why would a scar on the back / side of Peter's NECK make it hard for future Hiro to recognize Peter? Please...
Future Hiro wasn't even sure it was the same guy at first.
Future Hiro must be speaking of a large scar on the face, not elsewhere on Peter's body.

Um, that's Matt. Can tell from the cut of his hair, and from the uniform shirt. Loks like he is changing into or out of uniform in the locker room.

Probably marks from being injecteed with something when he was taken, or something that was inserted in him. Tracking device, anyone?

Sam

I assume you're talking about the pic on the last page with the mark circled?

If so, then I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you. It's Isaac in the background he's talking to.

Definitely paint on Peter's neck. I also got the impression that Peter's scar will appear on his face. I am guessing this scar is due to some tramatic event, not just Peter using his powers.

"You look different without the/your scar." - Hiro

Hiro recognized him just fine. He was just noting that he looks different and giving Peter a clue to future events.
