Full Version: Who is the fake exterminator?

After rewatching this episode, I realized I haven't been hearing anything about who the fake exterminator might be.

I would assume he's not in league with HRG/Eden, because Eden's reaction to him seemed authentic - not staged. It may have been a ruse, but I think she knew he was stepping on her turf, moreso than pretending to run him off.

So then the question is...who is he, or who does he work for? Everybody's been focusing on HRG's "organization", but it would seem that there is another out there too.

Any ideas or other clues I missed about this?

Who else could it have been? The guy had to have worked for HRG, and that whole thing could have been an improv kind of thing to get Eden on Mohinder's good side.

I don't know how many secret orginizations you can cram into one show. I think there is only the one.

Well, almost certainly there will be more than one...one secret organization usually needs another to balance it out. Many shows have at least 2 or three factions...without the need to cram.

We don't know the the "heroes" will form their own unique group...they may become part of a group that already exists secretly (maybe even HRG's).

I'm still not buying the exterminator was in cahoots with Eden...why would the exterminator need to be there if they already had Eden as a plant?

good point. Tim Kring himself stated that the "heroes" may join as a big group at times, but it will fall apart and come back together often. There will be no solid Justice League. So i think most of the heroes will interact individually or as you said, with the various organizations that may be involved (such as HRG's).

I'm bumping this topic because now we've eliminated another group (Sylar) from who this guy is. Really, WTF?

Well now you know and you can see that his power started as someone elses.

my therory is that he is one of linderman's crew.

I have a feeling that linderman may know alot more our "heroes" than we think.

But I'll save all my Linderman therory's for another post

I'm not sure we've seen enough between Eden and HRG to suggest that he completely trusts her. Also, if he didn't trust her and wanted to tap the place anyway, he wouldn't tell her. Her reaction with the gun and exterminator could have been completely real. She couldn't let him kill Mohinder because she needs him, and here she is not knowing who the guy is or if he's a risk to her and HRG's operation.

Everything was a set up. Eden knew him and basic to gain the trust of Mohinder.

Just a bump to point out that the gun Eden is holding in episode 11 "Fallout", is the exterminator's gun. Either she kept it, or checked it out of the same armory.
