Full Version: Eden's Power

Dark history...

Eden seems to have the ability to 'persuade slash force' people to do her bidding. She convinced Isaac to go with her and to take the heroin, but strangely, she couldn't stop Mohinder from leaving.

Other that that, Mr. Bennett implies that Eden was a bad person before. What are your thoughts on her?

I don't know about everyone else but I always had a small feeling her power would be something like persuasion. I guess it sort of helps explain how she got so close to the Sureshs', mainly Papa Suresh(I don't know what else to call him).
If anyones ever seen the show The 4400 they had one girl with the same type of power, the girl used it to escape the law with her boyfriend.

I jsut made a post positing the same thing.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who suspects this. My wife thinks she was jsut a former junkie and thats why she reacted so negatively.

I also got the feeling she used to be a druggie, not so much a bad person. She may have used to use her power to get drugs, but I doubt she was a really "bad" person.

I got the feeling like she may have been a "working girl" or "dancer". With the power to persuade men, she could make a killing.

Anybody find it strange that a paper company had such good security. Also, they had a room set up for "guest".

Ok, enough use of "quotes" already.

I think she was probably living on the streets, doing petty crime to get by and hung out in a "tough" crowd until Mr. Bennet found her and broung her into his confidence.

I also think that Eden CHOSE to let Mohinder leave. Last week, Mr. Bennet commented 'we both know you could have tried harder'.

I think Mr. Bennet did help her out of some dark period, and she feels she owes him for that. But she also feels guilty about some of the things she's doing. I also think that this week was the first time I thought she had any acting ability smile.gif The pixie's growin' on me!

oddly enough i wondered about the security and spare room full of bedding?! strikes one who's curious. but i honestly think she has powers and once was a druggie too! not necessairly that she was a bad person. but that she was stuck in a similar situation as our dear isaac.
The Hand of Thanos
I agree that she definitely has the power of persuasion. My opinon that she didn't try harder with Mohinder is because he has a thing for him and she did say "you'll be back".

Besides, if she does have that "power", she's prolly a lot farther along in her ability to control and use them than some of our heroes. Therefore, she can decide when she wants to persuade or not.

I got the impression she was previously a drug addict, but a sweet little ol thing like that all messed up on crack... hard to visualize.
Victoria
She seems to not enjoy using her powers, or at least that what it seems like to me.
