Wasn't it kind of stupid of the Haitian to do a mind swipe of Matt and the Radioactive Man and forget to REMOVE the MEMORY of Himself?

No Christmas Bonus for him this year.

Yeah I was thinking that too. But if this wasn't the case, Matt and Ted wouldn't have ever made a connection, and Ted would have just killed himself. Now it seems both of their goals is to find the Haitian.

I think the Haitian's power is limited to only specific timeframes, not certain persons. Matt saw the Haitian the first time at the bar, before the mind swipe.

Yeah, I was wondering that myself. If the Haitian is being held against his will by HRG or the group that HRG works for?

Or maybe it was just a convenient way for the story to move along instead of coming to a screeching halt and a dead end.

I loved the way Ted burned up that Homeland Security van though. ohmy.gif

I do get the feeling that Eden feels obligated to HRG. It wouldn't surprise me if HRG helped the haitian and the haitian now works for HRG because he feels he owes him something too.

That's an interesting theory that perhaps the Haitian wanted them to make the connection. Perhaps he never thought they'd meet.

If you base this on real-life reality, people who have their minds manipulated with drugs, can (in a sketchy way) remember things. They may not necessarily make sense, but they can remember.

The Haitian's technique may not be perfect. It may not necessarily be because he wants to be remembered (although I will buy that theory) but because he was using something only recently learned.

Who knows. Interesting that Eden was a former drug user. For some reason, this was the least surprising thing revealed to me tonight. I am not sure why.

Maybe he didn't want to erase anything before that, as it might just mess up his life, he wanted to let him remember everything about his normal life, until he was taken to the [dare I?] lab to have his skills advanced [a theory of mine, and well, maybe about a million other people...] and then the Haitian erased everything within there, because it wasn't normal, so it was ok for him to forget it. Get it?

Say like, his wife was like "you were in a bar the other day," and he says "I was not," because he didn't remember that. I'm sure the haitian didn't want that

He probably just didn't want to remove the bar from their memories. One minute you're in a bar drinking, and the next you're waking up somewhere else. You chalk it up to drinking. While that doesn't hold indefinately, it may for some.

Who knows. biggrin.gif

You'd think he could be alittle more precise though without removing the entire bar experience. Just the part where Matt noticed him. It's funny that they had to drug him when they had someone with the ability to manipulate minds sitting right there.

Not really.

They're not expecting these guys to suddenly one day meet and start comparing notes. It was pretty much luck that they stumbled upon the guy during conversation.

Matt passes out at the bar, and wakes up at home. Seems perfectly natural, if a bit extreme. Without the encounter in the lab, Matt has no reason to suspect the Haitian was anything more than another bar patron.

Maybe I'm being paranoid and reading too much into it, but did anyone else think it was awfuly convenient timing, just as Ted and Matt made the connection regarding the Haitian, the female agent busted in and swept Ted away. I don't think I'm being paranoid because the one thing I'm learning about this show...everyone is connected somehow.
