maybe the Haitian guy and HRG unlock the powers you have if you havn't already unlocked them yourself...like mat or Nathan

Here's a new plotline opened up from this episode. It seems that the Haitian guy has the power to block other people's power. How else could they have kidnapped Mr Nuclear (Ted) without it being very dangerous to them.
Although I am thinking that maybe Ted didn't have powers until HRG and Mr Haitian stepped in. Ted seemed to imply that his life was normal until then.

If the Haitian guy could block powers, why didn't he stop Nathan from flying away? I think the Haitian guy can wipe minds.

Yeah I agree. Just mind wiping. I think HRG has some way of making powers stronger. It's obvious that he has been helping people come to terms with their powers for a long time. He gave the impression that's what he does when he was talking to Eve, and we know he's been doing it since his daughter was a little girl. 14 years was it?

Anyway, Matt said that his powers were stronger after his blackout, but he had them before that.

A power like emitting radiation on low levels might not be noticeable. Perhaps he had been giving his wife radiation poisoning for quite a while without even realising it.

I don't think he blocks or wipes powers.

I believe he enhances powers.

Matt had little strength in his power before being "cleaned" by him.
Maybe Ted was in a similar situation?

Mr. Bennet said "I promise you we can make your powers work, without those (referencing heroin), but right now we don't have enough time."

Both Matt and Ted lost two days, and Mr. Bennet only has ONE day to save Claire.

Come on, he TOLD the quarter back he was going to do him a favour by deleting every memory he had so he could have a fresh start. Then he told MBG to hollow him out. It doesn't get any more clear cut than that if you ask me.

I think they just caught Ted by surprise and drugged him too. Then did their experiments while he was unconscious and thus not a danger to them.

I think Ted only turns lethal when he is mad or angry or upset.

They may have worn protective gear too.

Also several of the 'heroes' with the mark on their shoulder/neck who have been 'visited' do not remember what happened to them. Reinforcing that their memories had been wiped.
