I don't know about you, but absolutely hate the tagline "Save The Cheerleader, Save The World" It just sounds so lame, that it has turned off many people who have see the commercials. Many of my friends don't even want to watch it cus it has an awful and stupid tagline. Its was funny when I heard it in the ep, but I never thought they were going to use in in everything. Overall it makes the series seem dumb or childish...not very serious at all.
Chi Rombuu
They literally said the tagline is what made them laugh, and thought it was a joke of a show. The ones that I did get into show have watched the DVD's I burned for them of eps 1-5, then their addicted.

I don't think it is just the tagline that turns your friends off. I could never get my friends to watch Buffy because the premise was hard for people to trust that the show was well written and acted. Wait til it comes out on DVD and then make them watch before season two.
Tekno
The tagline won't mean much to someone who isn't already watching. If they're turned off by it, they likely wouldn't have watched anywho (as the line didn't come up until the show was, what, over a month old?).

I like the tag line.

Somehow I can't imagine being totally turned off by a show simply by the tag line. Turned off by the premise maybe. Turned off by some of the promo's you may have seen but the tag line? Sounds like a pretty stupid reason to not watch a show.

i think it is one of those so bad its good...like who the hell came up with it...it is so lame out of context, but it is awesome in the context of heroes
ZSGhost
I don't hate the tagline, per say. It's a great repeated theme throughout the episodes. I just hate the whispering at the end of every episode that's being used so much.
theekls
People forget its a show... about people that can fly, and tell the future and can heal very quickly and they pick on the tagline not being serious?
Hordak Alpha
I only hate the tagline because it is annoying. I'd think it should stop being uttered after Peter saves Claire from Sylar in Monday's episode. At least I sure hope so.
RTDR_13
I find it amusing, but really the majority of this shows writing is better than that measly tagline. Our watch party nearly died laughing when that come the commercial. Hopefully we will get rid of it this week.
Hordak Alpha
Yes, hopefully it will go away after the airing of Homecoming.
Sasuke
Well, I really have no strong opinion on it, other then it's short and simple. It is a tagline, so it shouldn't be long or complex anyway. I guess after we see the upcoming episode we'll understand why they chose it and hopefully many we'll leave it alone. tongue.gif
