I was checking to see how deep this show gets. So I did a quick search for Mr Bennet's company. There is a company with a similar name, but with out the "Paper Company" part. Coincidence or not, it is a consulting company specializing in safety, security and risk. Can anyone confirm if this is in fact a site by the show? They don't have an office in Odessa, TX, but there is one in Houston.
Additional info from the episode shows its been in existence since 1962.

In all fairness.. the producers of LOST have gone to great lengths to create dunny websites for most of their fictional companies (Hanso, Oceanic, Dharma, Apollo, etc). Why not these guys as well?

Yeah that's a good point. I don't think this show has been created to get us adjusted to the possibility of super humans walking among us. Or is it..???

Actually that's a valid point.

I agree - I fully expect to have lots of "fake" NBC supported websites like the Lost sites from the Lost Experience...
NBC already created Claire and Zach's MySpace Page, so more has to be on its way... (YAY!)
I haven't checked out this lead yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's NBC...
One way you can check (sometimes) is to go to the View pull down menu and click on "Source" to view the source code...

Do you have a link?

primatech .com and .org belong to a company who registered them years ago (the .com in 1996 which was probably when they designed their site)

The .net is owned by buydomains.com and last time I tried to purchase a domain with actual words in it from them they quoted a price of $1500. A big production could afford a few thousand to get the site so it looks like the paper company (most likely a front) is not going to be a big part of the story.

There is a post here about exposing details on fake TV show sites.

Here is interesting link

It is a patent for "Method of producing mutant mice"

part of process involve

"...Piezo Micromanipulator Injection of Tetraploid Blastocyts
For microinjection, 5-6 blastocysts were placed in a drop of DMEM with 15% FCS under mineral oil. A flat tip microinjection-pipette with an internal diameter of 12-15 um was used for ES cell injection. 15 ES cells were picked up in the end of the injection pipette. The blastocyst to be injected was held in the vicinity of the ICM with a standard holding pipette. The injection pipette, containing the ES cells was pressed against the zona opposite the inner cell mass. A brief pulse of the Piezo (Primatech Pmm, Ibaraki, Japan) was applied and the injection needle was simultaneously pushed through the zona and trophectoderm layer into the blastocoel cavity. The ES cells were then expelled from the injection pipette and pushed against the inner cell mass of the blastocyst. After injection of the entire group, blastocysts were returned to CZB media and placed at 37.degree. until transfer to recipient females. "

Just a coincident tho'

Lot of company called primatech invilved in creating mutant mouse I am sure/

So now I've checked it out... it doesn't seem to be NBC supported - such an interesting coninciedence though with the type of business of "protection"!

Keep on the lookout for other sites, I'm sure (at least I'm hoping) they will be coming soon!
iduka
I figured it wasn't NBC supported due to the massive amounts of softaware downloads etc on the site.
But had to post because it is a great coincidence.
Nice catch on the mutant mighty mouse.

Hi folks smile.gif

This week, we learned the name of HRG/Mr. Bennet's "company" - PRIMATECH PAPER CO.

Immediately my mind thought - WEBSITE.

Well, just now I got around to some digging, and I may have found some goodies

(right now, its just parked on GoDaddy.com, but..)
www.primatechpaper.com

Since its nothing now, I went to a WhoIs query and got the following:

QUOTE
Registrant:
Heroes
1438 N. Gower st
Box 20
Hollywood, California 90028
United States

Registered through: GoDaddy.com, Inc. (http://www.godaddy.com)
Domain Name: PRIMATECHPAPER.COM
Created on: 31-Oct-06
Expires on: 01-Nov-07

Two things that I see say to me that this is either a future Ofiicial site, or someone who is an "insider" starting things. Those two things are:

- Registered on 10-31-06 - two weeks before we even heard the name Primatech Paper on the show

- the location: 1438 N. Gower St. is also known as Sunset-Gower Studios where HEROES is filmed.

Hope it turns out to be something, and not just TPTB registering names so fans couldn't (much like how Bryan Burk of LOST registered www.thedharmainitiative.com months before we heard it on LOST).

Peace,
Truff

On the summer show, Kyle Xy, a site for MADA Corp. was set up and they really drew you in.
LurkNoMore
The Cloudmakers, yes... Fond memories. That was a very awesome promotion. I got involved in that some way in but it was a hell of a ride.

I did begin to think that Heroes were going to be doing something similar with hidden clues and the like, but I'm coming to the conclusion that it is not that deep. By a long way.

They went to the trouble of creating a Myspace profile for Claire and her friend, and a blog for Hiro. It's not at all surprising that they would create websites for different companies.

There are movie promotions that involve dozen of fake websites.
One of the first examples was

I agree.. i think we're making more of it than there really is.. I was hoping it was deeper and more complicated, and that the comic books (on nbc site) would be drawn in a more 'Curt Swan' like way. Now HE was an artist!

Oh, the ignorance...

It's called ARG which stands for Alternate Reality Game. It might not go as deep as that, but there could still be sites to mirror locations from Heroes.

Truffula:
That's a nice find. I don't know if the whois entries can be faked. The studios thing could be done by a fan and wouldn't be evidence. I'm not putting you down, it looks good. smile.gif
Just stating the options here.
Heroes has all the trademarks to turn it into an ARG, although I don't applaud the tv show attempts at ARGs so far.
Especially if they are supposed to tie in with the show.

Interesting. I did a whois search for primatechpaper.com and also came up with a Heroes registrant ID created on Oct 31 2006, expiring Oct 31 2007. You guys might be on to something - and if so, kudos to NBC for thinking this far! No actual address though. Link here - http://www.whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=prima...per&tld=com

Permission to slap whoever made this post? God, I'm on a slapping spree here!

Ok, maybe Tim Kring, or any other writer of the show was in Texas and saw the paper company, probably drove by it a dozen or so times, and it just got stuck in his brain, so when he went to go write about a paper company for the greatest show in the world, there it was, right there in his head.

He used his, so I think it might be time for some people around here to start using theirs.

Kitty kitty kitty...it's time you make yourself familiar with ARGs before you proceed to call people braindamaged...seriously.
And before any more ignorant people leave their mark, I just post some pointers...
Here we go:

Lost Experience on wikipedia
Lost Experience Blog
ReGenesis: The Game (I believe they started the tv-going-ARG trend
Kyle XY (but don't ask me where the game is, I haven't checked

And THE site for this whole phenomenon (pre-tv):
Unfiction
straight to the Heroes stuff...they don't seem to know about this find, yet, btw...

If you still have the urge to slap, start with yourself. wink.gif

I want a primeatech paper company tee shirt. Maybe I'll get one at the company softball picnic party. Maybe I'll get a mug, and a frisbee too.
