So I was watching the episode again and during Isaacs scene with Simone he goes something like, "I painted all these during the last month when I was high." Well there are 2 paintings I don't see in the gallery. One is of a girl in a yellow jacket and the second one is a painting of a building beside the TV. I think we can dismiss the building painting since it looks like a generic perspective painting but who is that girl in the yellow jacket?

About the topic, yeah, he's got some precognition skills.

Wonder that myself.
Are you sure it's not THE CHEERLEADER walking thru fire? or a Fire starter?

Yes I'm sure. No fire, a Girl in a YELLOW JACKET. This painting is not in the gallery of this board. Her long hair wasn't coloured in though so it could be Claire or Niki or somebody new.

in my opinion, they look like yellow pom poms.
so I think it's Claire

but I'm going to watch the pilot again, to get a better look.

Didn't the firefighter take off his yellow jacket and use it to put out the non-existant flames on the cheerleader?

ok..I see the flames now.
It might be Claire under the jacket.

I can see the picture being pompoms instead of a jacket but I don't see it as Claire under the firemans jacket. Why? Every painting shown thus far is an exact duplicate of the shot shown in the show.
Newspaper photo of the burning truck looks exactly like the burning truck painting.
Simone walking into the studio(cut from the iTunes pilot) looks exactly like Isaacs painting of her.
Train wreck painting looks exactly like the train wreck when viewed from the copter/above.

actually, Simone's painting is not exactly like Issac's painting..you can't see her standing there and be able to identify what's on the outside of her brief case..that's not until she swings it over to lay it down!

Oh, I guess I didn't post the similar pic here, but
in this post is a bigger pic, or click
here. Maybe it'll show more detail or clues to figure out who she is?
Or not.

Her hair is a bit too long to be Claire or Niki..but, I am beting on Claire if it's one of the female leads!

To me it looks like an anime face turning to face over a yellow cover to look at the viewer ... *shrug* maybe a hint at a future character?

Quite possibly a hint at future things to come..maybe a character, maybe a flashback..maybe something that's about to happen!

Looks either kinda childlike or kinda angry too. The hair is definately way too long to be one of the females we've met so far, First it's held up by a bobble then it drops down to what I assume is around waist height. Waaay too long

It could be refering to one of Claire's "friends"!

Well, since Isaac is supposed to be both a traditional artist and a comic book artist, he would be aware of certain conventions of iconic image that resonate with the image's viewers. (Also, most of the writers and conceptual artists for this series are at the very least comic book/art fans)
Namely, that yellow jacket is a fur coat with a mink-like collar. The high-worn, long (probably blonde) hair coupled with the big eyes (typical to indicate a younger person) would assert that the image is supposed to be of a yound, syphistocated/rich lady. She is also hiding her face, so the produceres probably don't want to give her away just yet. Most all of the artwork is smart and intentional so far, so we should assume (especially with the idea that all things are connected and the over-abundance of 'easter egg' props and hints of connection) that this is just another notation of something to come.
My vote is for a future look fo Claire, or an unknown character at the moment.
Fun stuff.

Was anyone else blown away when Peter saw Isaac's painting of him flying? That was sick.

I'm new, registered here because I LOVE this show!
Here's my question on one of Isaac's paintings. Why did he paint a picture of a suicide bombing in Israel? That has no super hero connections at all, UNLESS the heroes are going to band together to possibly fight terrorism.
I'm not sure I would like this plot twist to occur but I just can't shake the feeling that there is an important reason the picture was shown. I mentioned this on the NBC boards too but those boards are pretty lame.

Not terrorist attacks... horrific occurences in general - the train wreck, bombing, etc... tragedies.
And welcome - I registered today, because of the same reason... LOVE!

Yeah he doesn't just paint things the heroes can go to, he paints things they might miss too. He didn't realize he had those powers remember so he wouldn't know to send a bunch of heroes to isreal.

What I want to know is what is that painting of the hand holding the glass of alkaseltzer or potion or whatever? It's the painting that Isaac is covering with paint when Simone comes in. It's also in the Gallery here. Is that being discussed elsewhere?
Pretty sure you can find out about that in a spoilers thread if you wanted. Not that I wanted to find out, but this has basically been leaked on other threads that were ostensibly non-spoiler.

I was thinking it might have been Niki's stamp. I checked the gallery and they look almost alike, except for the part that the yellow cover thingy isn't covering Niki's back on the stamp. The painting could be a view of the front side.

Go to
Tim Sale's website and go to the Catwoman downloads...

Having said that, Niki's stamp is actually based on a Catwoman sketch as well...
(If you do a google image search for "salecatwoman" you can see the thumbnail, but it no longer links to a picture sadly. You'll also notice it as the cover of his book "Pinups" on the front page of his website above.)
