There was a lot of talk about the show timeline during the early episodes, but I've lost track. Can we tell/estimate what the current date is in the series?

We know the heros are using a 2006 calendar, since the day the bomb goes off, November 8, is a Wednesday (the day after election day).

Homecoming ought to be on a Friday night. I'm thinking it was probably October 20. Can we tell for sure?

at the end of the episode Hiro thought it was October something, in the teens i think, before Charlie said it was April

In the preview I saw he just says "October" and doesn't give a date. And I think Hiro left a few days before homecoming.

in the first episode clair states that homecoming was three weeks from "today: ( the first episode) therefore im assuming its about oct twenty something...

that leaves them about 2 more weeks in thier time to save the world
