Considering the obvious I wonder why HRG and his "company" didn't check out Chandra's university office failing to find what they wanted in his apartment?

His computer was still on, there on his desk.
Seems like a mistake the writers overlooked.
What with all his list of mutants right there to be had.

The university is too public a place for someone to go searching through someone's office. Too many questions would have been asked. Also, even had they gotten into his office they would have needed the password to get into his computer. Mohinder had to guess a few times to get the password correctly. Others would not have been that lucky.

The thing that bugs me about Chandra's PC is that was still on after a veerrry long time. Chandra has been dead for a least a week or more and had been in NYC for months. Nobody touched it in all that time? No power surges or outages? Its a minor detail and it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the show.

Now that I think about it, Mohinder was teaching a class in the first episode and when he came back to India, his friend tells him the new semester starts on Monday. I've never been to school in India, but it doesn't seem like wintertime on the show, maybe he was teaching a summer class.
