October 2nd was a Monday. High School football is usually played Friday nights so it doesn't conflict with college or pro ball.

We were shown Nathan checking out of a hotel in Vegas on October 6th, which was a Friday. Time has been moving slow, so I would put Claire's homecoming on October 13th. That would give us 25 days until the explosion in NYC.

I Agree because in "Six Months Ago" Hiro says "October" when Charlie says it's April 24th... Also the idea of October 13th seems plausible because they are not in a rush to find out how New York Blows up cuz they know they have time...

Well the next episode seems to have the Heroes in a big city, probably new york. That doesn't have to mean that it is November 8th already but maybe they skipped ahead.

Yea but its a dream sequence.
They will probably wait for the season finale to show the explosion if it happens.
Whats better for a season premiere than finding out who survived / how they rebuild?

I dont think the explosion will ever happen though.
I dont think they have the money to render NYC as a postapocalyptic wasteland for the rest of the series.

It is still early, maybe mid October as said. The story is being done in 3 storylines, one ending on Monday, then ab0ut 8-9 more episodes and then a big 4-5 fast ending ones leading up to the cliff hanger end of season.

They are tyriong to kill us with supense!
Snapple-Power
I say let them kill us with suspense. Do not worry what day the show is taking place. We know the date the bomb is going to explode, so when that time comes, all of us fans will know the date.

I seem to recall the fact that Lost needed a season to cover 40 days, and that 24 would cover 1 day in a season. Sometimes there is a lot of good stuff that makes for drama/action in under a month. I say enjoy the ride. w00t w00t.

We also know that Nov. 7th was tuesday, election day, because Hiro sees the newspaper of Nov. 8th and it says "Petrelli wins in landslide". November 8 is also the day the dead body of Issac is found.
misswitchie
on the very first show clair said her homecoming was 3 weeks away (from oct 2) so its about oct twenty something in the heroes world

Except that in the first episode, Claire makes mention of Homecomings being three weeks away. There's nothing to say that that isn't weeks beforehand though.

Also, Homecoming games are sometimes (often) played on Saturdays.
