Tim Kring stated that the death of a hero in this episode (turned out to be Eden) would generate 'a tremendous amount of story'.. am I wrong, or does her death actually take away a lot of storyline possibilities?

Not if Sylar is still imprisoned by H.R.G. and from the Graphic Novel it looks like he is. We would see these and many other possibilities: "Eden has been killed" HRG wants revenge. "Eden has been killed" Mohinder wants to increase his research, "Eden has been killed" Isaac is ******, "Eden is killed..." well, you get the point. And HRG and The Haitian still have Sylar to experiment on.

Eden has been the "good cop" to HRG's "bad cop" vibe when interacting with all the Heroes, at least from their perspective. Mohinder is connected to her because of his father, as well as their own interaction. Heck, she died trying to avenge Mohinder. Issac was helped to get clean by her and she encouraged him (he probably doesnt know what her power is or realize she controlled him) to ditch the drugs and have a restart in life. HRG probably views her as a trusted employee, possibly a friend when the luxury allows. The Haitian was her co-worker.

Quite a few of these characters now have a revenge motive against Sylar, if they didn't already, and Mohinder has x2 the reason. Her death is a great story catalyst.

I never thought that even Mr.Esac (he he) would grieve her death that much, now if Simone died he would.
