In the scene where Sylar turns the gun on Eden, we don't actually see her shoot her head. Perhaps, she shot her shoulder and Sylar has plans to use her as a sidekick like HRG uses the black guy.
Just a crazy theory..but is it?

Assume she's dead until we SEE other wise, I think the point of the whole scene was to kill her.

Dead as a doornail sorry. She shot herself in the head and blew her brains out so he couldn't get her power. That's why he had the look on his face that said , "what are you doing? Noooo!" He didn't want her shot in the head and he didn't kill her, he wanted her alive so he could scalp her, she turned the gun on herself. You can speculate all you want, but this is what really happened and it's confirmed in interviews I have come across from cast members when they were questioned about the episode. So I trust that information the most.
What Up Hiro!
Ya, the online comic answered this pretty clearly

The Alternative One
Too bad to. I was really getting to like Eden. Even with the Dune references to her power it's still one of the coolest abilities that they've shown. I, for one, am going to miss her.

Part of me wants to say that no one is ever truly dead. Because that is true in almost all comics.

But this isn't a comic. It's a show. And I will be mourning Eden for a long time.

But if she does come back (okay, I'm stretching here) I hope they have a GOOD explanation for what happened.

I'm going to say that she shot herself in the head so Sylar couldn't harvest her powers. Think about it: the other heroes out there wouldn't stand a chance if he had the power of persuasion (or whatever it is she has). It's just logical to me smile.gif

For various reasons (including a certain actresses contract) I'm guessing that yes she is really dead. However, this is a show where dead people can be brought back on a whim.
narcissus
Yes thanks to the comics we can only get pictures of her
Hero Freak
I totally agree, til we see the bloody stump of her brain stem above her neck she is not dead.

C'mon people, you can't show frickin' everything.

She's as dead as disco..

They were going to kill her off anyway, but when she asked for more money they booted her right then and there.

Oh no. she's not coming back...

Could you send a link for that interview please? I'd like to see that! I need proof before I can believe anything about heroes now...

It makes sense that she turned the gun on herself, but how do we know Sylar can't take powers from a dead person? Just cause her brainsses are all over the wall, doesn't mean her powers are all over the wall... and if so, then why didn't he just... lick it off the wall?

And Disco isn't dead... it's just dormant... it'll come back... hopefully : ]

in the comic, HRG and Mr H sustained him, no licky for him

That was a very good point, about 'licking the brain off the walls'. I don't believe there is any proof he can't take their powers anyways. Fantastic point. :}
