QUOTE
Over the course of our lives, we've had our share of people to envy, but thankfully none of them were indestructible or able to fly. However, Heroes offers such an alternate reality, one where ordinary people discover that they have extraordinary abilities. Just as a genetics professor comes up with a theory on supernatural powers, and in a timely manner, a small clique of superheroes emerges around the world. A cheerleader finds she can fall off the top of a building without a scratch, a stripper develops an alter ego in her dressing room mirror, and an office worker in Japan figures out how to stop time in his cubicle. Maybe the shadow of a solar eclipse triggers the supernatural powers or it's just another effect of global warming. Either way, if this is any indication of our own evolution, you better stop thinking about jay-walking because that beat cop standing next to you is reading your mind.
I love that last sentence! Definitely funny!
