Another way for NBC to grab cash...

I'm going to wait for the FULL Season 1 on DVD!
Aerdna
I saw this awhile ago...I'm definitely renting it this weekend, since I probably won't have nearly enough time to watch all 11 episodes again (luckily Homecoming and Fallout are on tonight). But what's up with this "never before seen" crap again? Is it really never before seen footage or is it stuff we've already seen before? It's like what they said about the previews of Godsend, and of course no one has seen it before, the episode hasn't even aired yet, duh.

Ditto.

I hope a full season DVD set will have outtakes and possibly a gag reel!

I love seeing actors mess up and make the people around them laugh, and just actors goofing off in general, it's fun, and they make me laugh!

This DVD SUCKED!
Its a 15 minute recape of the first 11 episodes and alittle bit on each of the major characters. No special features, no new footage. So unless there is an easter egg on this DVD it is really not worth it.

You can only get it from Netflix. The recap will be on NBC.com in like a week or so.

Sorry i can't "rip" or whatever the term is for DVDs. I don't have any video editing software and have NO idea how.
DarkHeroJ
then i'm not getting it. instead i'll wait for the full season.
Anyone 4 Buttons?
In light of Melissa's last post, I will definitely be waiting for the full season DVD. Thanks for the heads up there!

hah. i knew the whole "never before seen footage" crap was a cop-out rolleyes.gif

15 minutes?!? LAME. I thought the DVD was supposed to be an hour long? What the hell are they doing with the remaining 45 minutes?! I guess I'll just rent it anyway, what's the harm?

*is waiting to buy the full season DVD set as well*

If you read carefully, it said, and I quote:

...a never-before-seen recap of the first 11 episodes of the NBC show Heroes...which will remain exclusive to Netflix until Jan. 15, when its content will be made available on NBC.com.

Nevertheless thanks for the heads up, and maybe wait til January 15 and check NBC.com smile.gif

The other 45 minutes is the first episode of the black donnelly's. I'm not watching that.

Is this video the same one that came in the Netflix DVD? It is now on NBC.com

I believe it is the same one. I think they said they were going to put the content of the DVD up on the site a week after or something and then take it off. Figures, I forgot I could've just watched it on the site dry.gif Oh well, maybe I can do some easter egg hunting...

I was gonna ask if anyone checked for this. I agree this is probably it.
Aerdna
I watched it just before, and it is lame, as I expected...no easter eggs either sad.gif

But some things I wanted to point out about this summary. First off, they failed to mention the "Save the cheerleader, save the world" story arc, which I find to be quite important in understanding what happens. Second, I disagree with DL being a "shapeshifter". He phases. Not the same thing as shapeshifting. Major boo-boo. Lastly, they forgot some major characters! They forgot to mention Micah, said absolutely nothing about Eden or the Haitian! Boo-boo again.

I personally think they should've also included a recap to every episode instead of just the characters themselves. When I was trying to catch up when I first discovered the show, reading the descriptions of the characters on the Heroes wiki did not help me at all and made it more confusing. Well, reading the episode descriptions didn't really help either for that matter, but still, episode recaps are nice along with the descriptions of the characters. The best way to get caught up is by watching the episodes in their entirety.

And in my opinion, I think it's sort of dumb that NBC focused most of the DVD on that Black Donnelly's pilot they had. Heroes is already a hit! Follow through! Don't throw in a show that looks like it's destined to be cancelled!
