Hi guys. This is my first post here, and Heroes is one of my favorite shows, but also very confusing!
I have a lot of questions. One isn't related to Episode #11, but the rest are, so I thought it would be appropriate to ask them here:
1) HRG is Claire's dad right? First off, why do we call him that? And is it an official name? Like they say it on the show? Or is it just an inside thing? Actually, I think everyone says it, but why do we say that? Has it ever been mentioned in the episodes?
2) In this episode, when Sylar was inside the room, captured, Eden goes and tells him to take the gun and kill himself. What I don't understand it how he just flew, broke the window, and grabbed her neck.
I mean he was already talking to "HRG" and it seemed like he was powerless. What was the difference so that he was able to grab Eden?
3) When Eden had the gun, she killed herself right? In a means of not letting Sylar get her powers. Right? Or am I wrong?
4) Is Peter falling down and having the vision related from when he was coughing in the jail cell? It seemed like he was "sick" and maybe that's gotta do with absorbing power from Sylar?
I'd appreciate it if you guys answered.
Thanks,
Sam

Welcome! I'll be happy to answer these for you! (Though normally these would go in the "General Discussion" or "Introduce Yourself" forum, I believe, but you're new here...)
*A bit of SPOILER warning - maybe. Just in case, really...*
1) HRG is the name not only us fans, but the cast and crew of Heroes, calls Claire's Dad. HRG means "Horn-Rimmed Glasses", the accessory of his that stands out the most. And no, it hasn't been mentioned in the episodes, but they haven't really called him anything but "Dad" (from Claire), so HRG is all we have.
2) The running theory on this is that Sylar was waiting it out and pretending he was powerless while he was in the room. But, we won't know for sure until Jan. 22! (though this was said in one of the interviews)
3) You're spot on there. Eden blew out her own brains so Sylar couldn't eat them.
4) That is also a question answered in one of the interviews - Peter got sick because of his exposure to Sylar.
You might want to check out the interviews (if you don't mind being spoiled a bit) to answer any more questions you have. It's also a good idea to check out the "speculation" section if you want to share any of your theories with others.

Thanks for the response, but where is this "interview" you're talking about?
Also, how does Sylar get the power from people? Does he literally eat their brains? Or what?

In some episode they said he "infused" the dna... I don't know exactly how, but for what I understood his original power was to know how everything wotks (that's how he fixed the watches) so I think he understands how the powers work (dna-wise)
(sorry if it's a little hard to understand, english is not my primary language

I thought I had read somewhere that they were possibly going to go in an eating brains direction, but then changed their mind and moved away from that...
As for the interviews, I believe Idallia, our friendly neighborhood mod has linked most of them
