Another Dixie Chicks fan here too! I just wondered the same thing back in my LJ post on the Chicks and have been scouring YouTube for a clip but haven't found one yet. Hopefully someone will share one here eventually..

I saw "Nathan" sitting next to Natalie and first thought was he paid to sit next to her to get more exposure for Heroes...little did I know he was married to her...WOW!

Natalie Maines, born in Lubbock, Texas in 1974, began singing at age 3. In high school she was a cheerleader. During her time at high school she played in a band. They had three gigs before breaking up. In the 1990's she attended Berkely College. Soon, after that, she auditioned for a music group. Martie Maguire and Emily Robison were looking for a lead singer. She won the audition and joined the 'Dixie Chicks'. In 2000, she, along with the other 'Dixie Chicks' had their debut in movies, a Made-For-TV movie called _Dixie Chicks On the Fly (2000) (TV)_ . Also in 2000, Natalie married actor Adrian Pasdar.

Wow, the Dixie Chicks won Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Roxy, I'm not a big fan of country music either, but you should check out "Taking the Long Way".

And for anyone wondering:

I think the girls walked in together and then their husbands came later. The husbands (including) Adrian weren't there for the first two (at least the first) one they won and I thought that was odd. But later I read on E!Online that they actually started the Grammy's early so I guess that's why... they were on time thus making them late lol.

i hate country too. i was yelling NOOOOOO! when they won song of the year then yelled louder when they won record of the year then yelled so hard i nearly passed out when they won Album of the year. lol j/k. i jsut dont like their music. i missed it too but i hope theres a rerun on bravo or USA or something. i'm gonna find out who won any award involving rock music

EDIT: Wolfmother beat Tool System of a Down and Nine Inch Nails?!? i listen to them all by come on. i like SOAD, NIN and Tool ALOT better than wolfmother

glad RHCP won for the otehr rock category. i like raconteurs, the fray, coldplay, u2 and greenday as well so any of them couldve won and i wouldve been happy
