I think based on his performance in episode 17, as well as his performance throughout the season, Jack Coleman should get an Emmy. I'm not sure what the chances are since it's a new type of show, and it has a lot of fantasy element to it, which doesn't usually merit Emmys or Academy awards.

nevertheless, he's really, really good, and I hope that he gets recognized for it.

2.Hayden Panetierre (sp)
3.Zachary Quinto

If we're doing top 3, I'd say
1. Jack Coleman
2. Maki Oka
3. Ali Larter

I'd be hard pressed to say whether Maki Oka or Jack Coleman is the better actor. They're both pretty good. Oka was better in the early season, and Coleman, like I said, really did it with EP 17.


Either way, we (the viewers) win. Remember when TV was almost totally reality shows? They discovered that acting and writing matter again, and it's great.

Jack Coleman (for Ep 17),

Ali Larter (for being able to snap from Niki to Jessica mid-dialogue and essentially playing 2 characters),

Masi Oka (for acting in 2 languages and providing comic relief)

I'm going with these three as well... I mean Comapny Man was only awesome because of the performances by Hayden and Jack.. I mean, that final scene? UGH so good.

Zach deserves one too because he and the writers have created such a good bad guy, I mean, Sylar is the best villian I have ever scene and its all because of ZQ's performance.

Yes, he does. It used to be Adrian Pasdar who was the best on the show. Though he is still doing great, Jack Coleman surpassed him in episode 17.
And I would be all in favor of Zachary Quinto getting it, too. He's made the show so much better.
However, being realistic, Masi Oka is the only one who has the slightest chance of even being nominated. And that would still be for Supporting, as Heroes is an ensemble cast with no clear star. Which is good, because if Masi goes up against Kiefer Sutherland, he loses.
But if only, if only...

i have gained a tremendous amount of respect for coleman...he may be playing a comic book heavy, but he has made this role his own and layered it with what must be his own feelings of fatherhood.

and as long as hayden doesnt follow in the paths of other hollywood starlets, that girl is gonna end up an absolute superstar

I love Jack Coleman. It would be great to see him get an Emmy for his work on Heroes.
