Dan is by most accounts the breakout star of his show. He’s invited everywhere (the hottest parties, the Playboy mansion) and has a considerable fan following—but he actually appears to be getting more humble by the moment! Case in point: While I’ve had my fair share of meals with TV actors who simply walked away without so much as a thought of paying their share of the bill (a certain FX star comes to mind), Dan did quite the opposite at a recent group dinner for a mutual friend. After apologizing profusely that he had to leave early to go to a monthly dinner with his cast, Dan quietly wished everyone well and excused himself. Many hours (and drinks and carnitas) later, when we asked for the bill, our waiter revealed that Dan had taken care of it. All of it.

Now, I ask you, is this the kind of behavior you expect from an actor in Hollywood? If so, come sit next to me for awhile and I’ll tell you a few stories…

Today, Kristin revealed that Good Deed Dan is none other than... Masi Oka!

Frankly, I'm shocked. [/irony] Masi seems like such a great guy! Sweet, thoughtful, puts up with taking pictures with fangirls who have minor freak-outs in his presence. He deserves his success.

One of these days I really need to get around to asking Masi whats it like being perfect.

Aww! He really does seem like an awesome guy - just super chill, and real.

That is awesome. I hope he doesn't lose that "nice guy" attitude as time goes on. I figure it's hard to stay "normal" with all the glitz and glamour of parties and people taking your picture everywhere you go. But if anyone can pull it off, I think Masi can. smile.gif
