As for the scruffy guy, he's a pretty fantastic character, yo, not to mention that he takes his shirt off way more than Hiro does. That really adds up the fangirl points. But I would like to see little my favorite Otaku win this one.

Sawyer is awesome... one of my favorite things about Lost. If he ever called me "Freckles" I think I'd pass out on the spot!

Sawyer going up against pretty much anyone else, I'd vote for Sawyer every time. But in THIS contest - Hiro gets my vote, no question. That is how much I luv Hiro. I would take him over SAWYER. I am either a total geek or I have lost my mind.

I don't agree with a few of the first round picks. I mean Stewie from Family Guy out already? Come ON!?

As for Hiro vs. Sawyer. I'm sorry, Sawyer's nickname thing is funny as ****** sometimes. Hiro is a good character but Sawyer wins. Of course he's also had 2 1/2 seasons to build the character. He was a real jerk the first season.

Losties these days are more obsessed and desperate than ever before, if they've caught onto this, Hiro doesn't stand a chance.

But I still voted for him and put a picture of a raised middle finger in Sawyer's ballot box.

And by the way, why isn't the shark jumping smoke monster in this? Seemed like kind of an important character.

can a character that has been around since the second episode really be jumping the shark? or do you mean it's habit of looking like people it isn't. I think it was still cool as heckfire when Eko stared it down back in season 2. Oh well.

If we're going for snappy-come-back-itude, Sawyer wins hands down. Sorry, Hiro, but "pal" just doesn't cut it when you're up against the master.

It was the Yemi impersonation, wasn't it? That's what tipped the scales? I'm still sticking with the idea of Puff the Smokemonster being a kind of Cerberus. I think there's information-seeking Puff (who stared down Eko), destructive Puff (who killed off Grunberg's LOST potential), and weird as-yet-to-be-defined Puff that tried to pull Locke underground.

In terms of character development Sawyer's still ahead of Hiro. I guess it helps that we've seen a few seasons of him compared to less than one of our boy the supah-Hiro. Why must we make these choices?

Homer is so overrated... Stewie is way better!
