I posted the following on a different thread, but I would really like it if Parkman's story was like this:

"I think he should be damaged mentally if he comes back. Think about it...he most likely will need surgery and he just got his powers "somewhat" under control. Now when he is in surgery he may not be able to control his powers. There can be A LOT of pain and suffering that goes on in a hospital. Let's say a man in the next room dies during an operation and Matt intakes all that pain and he could receive thoughts like that from many others. The future Matt can be born."

What do you think about this type of story? Pease contribute, if you want, on what you would do with Parkman after episode 23.

His character is def headed for dark times, I mean he has no job, disappeared from his family for a week or two with no explanation and has a baby on the way as well as having multiple gunshot wounds. He is in quite a tangy pickle!

Matt's one of my favorite characters because he is the basic premise of the show. He's just a regular guy who suddenly discovers that he has a super power. I think he may fall on hard times, but I doubt he'll turn bad. He is a cop afterall.

Hey we saw what happened to Parkman in FYG. I think, like most of the characters, he will stay morally grey, occasionally shifting to on of the other extremes.

parkman needs to fence his diamonds and start his own security cop operation.
BlackLotusDragon
yea I hope the writers dont forget Parkman still has a bag full of $40,000 diamonds.

I would like to see him be able to send thoughts to people, aside from his receiving.

This would be cool, but I don't know how it would work if he couldn't control it at times.. everyone around him being able to hear his thoughts might be bad..

I think that Matt, like most of them, will struggle to make sense of his place in the world. He will probably fight for a cause which he thinks is right, but ends up being against everything he stands for.

I don't think Matt will ever turn 'bad'..though sometimes good people can do bad things.

It will be interesting to see how his powers evolve. I assume that he hasn't yet reached his threshold, so we could see his powers expland. Perhaps he will be able to read peoples minds from greater distances or perhaps he will be able to retrive past thoughts (i.e. from the dead) or even future thoughts (Minority Report-ish?) and be able to pre-empt people?

He's an interesting character, I like him..and even more than that, I like Grunderg.

I'd like to think he can read of emotions or something later on..not just hear what they are thinking - maybe pick up on memories or something aswell.. that his power goes from mind reading to kinda overall-reading tongue.gif

I like him cos he is the average-joe in my eyes.. with a rocky marrige and a normal job and yeah..gets these super powers..

but that about feeling the guy in the next door room dying I dont see how at this point could happends.. he could only hear thoughts, not feel their pain.. he might go insane over all the 'complaining/crying/so on' he hears there tho..

but I dont think he will go bad.. he think he might end up doing something bad, but only cos he thinks its right..he wont go brain-robing or anything...
