Titling this thread the way I am because I don't want it dedicated to the thing that I'm about to talk about.

So, yeah. Was there something you found out about Adrian that surprised you?
I've looked at his IMDB page dozens of times, the Wiki page on him, other pages on him, but I never once noticed that Adrian is not his real name. His real full name is: Kayvan Adrian Pasdar. Did other people already know this? *L*

Seriously? I thought that Kayvan was his middle name.
Anyway, nice thread.

I don't know. *L* I was reading something where he was referred by "Kayvan" and then Anders' plug of the YouTube reminded me of the name, so I went and checked IMDB. It could be wrong, but that's what it says his first name is.
Thanks!

I think other people have had moments like that with him. His background and acting career is rather colorful. I made my friend go spastic when I told her that he's married to a Dixie Chick. I was like, "don't you know who he's married to?" and she said, "a singer." And I said, "Yes, Natalie Maines. She's in the Dixie Chicks." Her reply was "$(*T$GFNBERE!1111!"

It was brilliant.

No friggin way! I really liked that picture of him as a Daddy...

He really has the most adorable kids. There's this great vid of him and his eldest son on Halloween, in the Dixie Chicks vid documentary, Shut Up and Sing. Their son doesn't want to wear his Hogwarts tie. LOL

Didn't know that either. Did know he was married to Natalie, been a Dixie Chicks fan from the start so I've always thought they were cute together. When The Dixie Chicks did Trading Spaces way back I was hoping Adian would make a cameo but unfortunatly no.
THink they met on the set of Goodbye Earl.

I was watching one of my favorite movies the other day, "Top Gun," and realized - hey! That's Adrian Pasdar!
Man, there were a lot of future stars in that movie.

It took me a long time to recognize him as the guy who played Declan Dunn on Mysterious Ways. I managed to see an episode or two before it was off the air. I really liked it. Seeing him with the stubble and then those clips from BBC reminded me of Declan. Nathan and Declan are so different from each other - they're polar opposites.

Wicked: I think the IMDB says they met at another Dixie Chicks' wedding. And he talks about this on...I want to say Rachel Ray? He was a groomsman and she was a bridesmaid. Aww!
Hopper: Have yet to see Mysterious Ways. Still waiting for it to come on video!

He has a bobcat on his arm. Kinda big, too.
Pic of one of the tats. The other one is an anchor with his kids' names, on his other arm.
Here's there's info on what Adrian says about his wife's tattoos.

I guess they had to cover those up when they had him shirtless, because I didn't see any tattoos. It's so cute how he has his son's names inked, and what he says about his wife's tats

I did not know Adrian is half-Iranian, which it seems would be where "Kayvan" comes from (and also Pasdar... duh).
Have any of you ever had Iranian food? There is a restaurant about 10 miles away from my house... I always get something called khoresh ghaimeh badenjun, which I swear must contain pure crack cocaine, because I am TOTALLY ADDICTED to that stuff. Totally. You know how bad it is? I will start reading news about Iran, like the latest idiocy to come out of Ahmadinejad's mouth, and I'll start thinking "Iranian food... aaahhhhhhh..." and doing the Homer Simpson drool. Hey, that's not a bad way to watch the news.

If you look carefully at Nathan's first encounter with Noah and the Haitian in Season One, you can make out a faint Bobcat tattoo on his right arm. Whether makeup was applied or they matted it out, the tattoo is still there. I have seen a fairly clear picture of the Bobcat tattoo and the Chinese symbol for strength on his right arm.
I have an Australian DVD copy of his movie, The Perfect Getaway. A code-free DVD player allows me to play DVDs from around the world and Australia offers the movie on DVD, where the US has not. Adrian had a "shirtless" moment in this film and you can clearly see the tattoos on his arm.
In regards to his middle name, I'll offer a link to an interesting internet site. It was an article that was written by someone at Adrian's high school alma mater in 2005. Adrian had just completed a brief stint on a popular ABC television show (which shall remain nameless). It makes for some very interesting reading:

That's nice that his 10th grade English teacher has a fan site for him! He must have been a good student! And he actually went to his high school reunion and didn't go all "Hollywood" on them, after 20 years in the biz. That would funny to see some of that footage on YouTube!

http://feilongfan.livejournal.com/15397.html#cutid1 <---- This is positively the best interview I've read on him. It covers everything I had already known, and then some, and placed it all in a sequential order. I don't think it's been linked here yet.
The real reason I wanted to make a post, was for this lovely find. In 2004 and 2006, on the IMDB, someone by the name of 'bobcatwon', wrote some interesting comments about Adrian, including some interesting observations and rumors:
http://www.imdb.com/user/ur3331071/comments Now, given the name, I'm really curious who this person is and what is his or her connection to Adrian. *L* Plays in nicely to the inside joke that I'm assuming there is with the name buckshotwon.

Oh it so has to be him. He's hyping his own movies... ahhh. Adrian. He has a bob cat tattoo on his arm. He has to be him. I wonder what the won means to him. I always use my birth year or numbers in my birthday myself.

Sooo.. Um. Yeah, I was watching this
trailer for The Lost Capone (made in 1990 and actually looks like it might be good).
Mr. Pasdar plays the title role. While going through the list of stars, I heard "Eric Roberts" (they guy who played Mr. Thompson, HRG's old boss) and my brain did a mental flip. So I went to Wikipedia and checked Eric Roberts' credits and sure enough, Eric Roberts played Al Capone.
So, yeah. Funny they didn't see each other on Heroes.

Ooh, but they DID see each other on Heroes.

There's a scene in "The Hard Part" where Peter and Claire see Nathan talking to Thompson in Nathan's office. So there ya go. Playing brothers in a 1990s movie and reuniting seventeen years later!
