Quote from the graphic novel "The Death of Hana Gitelman, Part 2"

"And the truth is, death is never quite what you expect it to be. It might seem like an ending, but really...The journey is just beginning."

I believe that Peter and Sylar BOTH died; but have come back based on the above quote. I believe that Hiro has messed with the Time Lines SOOOO much that West is either an earlier version of Peter or Sylar and is seeking out Claire for his own reasons. Either variation remembers something about her but cant quite place it yet and so whichever incarnation West may be, Sylar/Peter, he is observing her to see what he can learn.

Think of time as two or more circles where they should be seperate but in order. However, Hiro has altered time so for now, the circles intersect; so we could have past, present, and future versions of people affecting THEMSELVES!

Ca you base this with any evidence given within the show? i think not.

Interesting and all but i have to give you an F ... ok maybe a E for effort.
Lykaon
Both Peter and Sylar are alive and in the form that they were in last season. We saw Peter at the end of the episode, and Sylar in the preview for the rest of the season.

So West cannot be Sylar nor Peter.
Darth Neo
Hiro has seen himself once (as Current and Future Hiro) and spoken to himself, so I don't think my idea is completey unfeasible...

Can you refute it with any evidence from the show?

See my other post below, Hiro has communicated with himself at least TWICE...

Any other reasons why he is watching Claire?

Is it because he is interested in her or maybe something more. I know she stepped in front of his car and he cought her burning her hand and possibly figured what happened in the gym but could he be the local Superhero/villian checking out somebody that could be a partner or adversary. We know nothing about this town. Is this place where a lot of people with a power trying to hide, go because it is out of the way? I was just wondering about this. Nice that he could fly but that was quite bold to hover outside her window where anybody in the neighborhood could see. Am I just seeing too much into this or is Claire going to be doing a lot of covert rescues in the future? Also, at the end wasn't Peter chained to the inside of a trailer

In a debate, the burden of proof is on the person putting forth a theory... you can't say "You can't prove me wrong, so I'm right!" That's called the "appeal to ignorance" wink.gif

Point taken, but I did state how Hiro has even communitcated with himself across timelines so its feasible that we could have crossed timelines and peter or sylar at different age in the same time line because of rifts or whatever..

Why can't Peter be Peter, Sylar be Sylar, and Wes be Wes?

They can - it's just one person's theory, for what it's worth. And who's Wes? biggrin.gif

This is my theory, West is just a new guy, sylar survived thanks to one of his powers, peter survived for claires, BtW i just thought this...

people say a women marries a man similar to his father, lemme think, claires father can fly... so can west, west will be claires housband in a near future!

But doesn't that make it equally likely that it's actually Hiro himself? Or Molly. Or even Mister Muggles, for that matter.

this is my theory about West, Peter & Sylar, it might sounds silly but just want to share with u guys.

Peter & Sylar somehow got the power from Candice (the one who could create illusion, and was shown transforming all the time in season 1).

I assume the hero ability is unique and only belong to one "Hero" (which is quite convincing due to fact in season 1, no duplicate ability occurred)
Since Nathan is still alive, the only one who could also fly is Peter. Looking at West's eyes and I feel that it's kinder like Peter's, which showing "care" about Claire but not "threat".

On the other hand, this led me to think that the "Peter" in the container was actually Sylar, maybe he pretented he don't remember his name (which I doubt) or the Haitian did some tricks on his mind already.

Anyway, just my 2 cents laugh.gif

You Fail.

Duplication of powers can happen, no one power is unique to any hero, it has been said many times within the show duplication of pawer have/dows/will exist.

what show are you watching?

Interesting theory, but making West be Sylar and Peter due to Hiro messing with the time line is a bit too complicated. If I recall correctly, Mr. Kring was intending to use time travel in a way that wasn't too complex. That is all I will say about it, lest this thread turns into another time travel debate

This makes sense. I remember reading that studies were done about women marrying men like their dads.

Thanks for sharing that, but I don't think this theory holds much water. The existing characters in season 1 may have each had unique abilities (with the exception of Peter the empath and Sylar who stole the powers of his victims). Claude did say that Peter was "another empath," which proves the fact that there are other empaths out there as well as other duplicated abilities).

As for Peter in the container being actually Sylar...the only chance of that happening is if Sylar took Candice's brain between the season 1 finale and Four Months Later.

Yes please share if you want us to keep up.

Seems like some people are looking for ends and manipulating the means to meet that end. IT has to work the other way around. Look at what we know, then make a conclution. Did Sylar or Peter ever meet Candice, no. Did Peter or Sylar ever time travel, no. Just cause people could do something doesn't mean they did it. These are people with super powers, if we start thinking about what they could do, then we will be things of most everything possible.
