My guess is
this will be explained in episode 8. It is supposed to be a flashback episode called "Four Months Ago". I think this is where we will see exactly what happened to Peter and Nathan and what made Nathan act this way. We might get little bits of what happens in the next couple weeks.

That's a good question. Maybe he declined to be a congressman after what happened. Let's give the producers/writers some time to explain what went on during the last 4 monhts.

I was wondering about that too. About him resigning, I never would have thought of checking the site. Thanks for reminding us Medemia.

One thing to remember - Linderman expected all the evidence of the
election fraud to be destroyed in the explosion. Even though Micah's efforts
might be impossible to pinpoint, people would have noticed the discrepencies
between the exit polls and the votes, especially considering Micah made it
a "landslide." Without the explosion to focus the world's attention, people would
have figured it out eventually.

good point matchstk. I think it might have more to do with the fact that he has lost his brother Peter. It seems with his alcoholic habits that he is in a state of depression and has lost all ability to motivate himself. I think he might not be continuing with his political work in spite of Mrs Petrelli who wanted the explosion to go off, which in turn causing the death of Peter.

I find it odd that he was elected as Congressman, but his website states he is the junior Senator from New York. I don't know if this is a mistake, or a preview of intersting events we just have not yet been made aware.

Congress is both houses. "Congressman" is usually used to describe a member of the House of Reps, and "Senator", to describe a member of the Senate, I believe that calling a Senator a Congressman is still correct.

Yes, possibly, but iirc, all his ads from last season, and his website refer to his election in Congress, and his mother called him Congressman after he won the election, not Senator. When people run for the House, the election propoganda implores the votes for Congress, when running for the Senate, the propaganda implores a vote for the Senate. Perhaps this was all a big fudge from the writers, or it means more than we have yet seen, I'm not sure yet.
